Stuttgart – The mindful and thrifty use of resources is more important than ever. As the price of energy continues to rise, it becomes increasingly important to conserve energy. As in the past, up to 70% of the energy in households is used for space heating. 1 This makes it all the more important to heat one’s home as efficiently as possible. According to the Fraunhofer Institute, the proper combination of smart functions can reduce energy consumption by as much as 36%. 2 Efficient heating therefore not only eases the burden on the environment, but also relieves the strain on one’s budget. With this in mind, Bosch Smart Home presents three new heating solutions: the new Bosch Smart Home Radiator Thermostat II, the Room Thermostat II and the Room Thermostat II 230 V support efficient heating in the Bosch Smart Home, thus helping to save energy.The Smart Temperature Controller for Radiators: The Radiator Thermostat II Precise temperature for each room in the house: ensures the desired temperature in every room and displays the current temperatures in the app. Efficient heating: heats precisely as needed and with energy efficiency thanks to time programmes and special services such as “Sustainable Ventilation”. Optimised design: facilitates intuitive operation through convenient rotary movements, as well as easy readability thanks to its modern, rotatable display. Flexible operation: directly on the device, fully automated or by voice via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant and at any time via app. The new smart Radiator Thermostat II is the optimal basis for efficient temperature control in the Bosch Smart Home. With its new and significantly improved design, this intuitively and flexibly operable radiator thermostat can be quickly and easily installed to replace conventional radiator thermostats. The smart Radiator Thermostat II ensures that only as much heating is used as necessary, thus promoting economical and environmentally conscious heating. Controlling the device via the Bosch Smart Home app is convenient, simple and possible from anywhere. The app can be used to set a comfortable temperature to within half a degree Celsius. In addition, the current temperatures of all Radiator Thermostats II can be viewed in the app whenever desired. For maximal convenience, all Radiator Thermostats II per room are automatically combined in a single room-temperature control. This eliminates the need for manual adjustment of individual radiators. Time programmes make it easy to create precise daily or weekly heating schedules to suit each user’s personal habits and preferences. If you want the bathroom to be pleasantly warm in the morning and comfortably cosy for brushing your teeth in the evening, these temperatures can be pre-set just as easily as the times when the kitchen, living room and study are to be heated to optimal temperatures for a pleasant stay. The radiators in each room can be automatically turned down outside the times when these rooms are usually occupied, thus contributing to optimal energy use. Of course, the Bosch Smart Home can also be spontaneously adapted to suit any situation. For example, integration into the “Leave Home” scenario ensures that the temperature in several rooms is immediately and simultaneously lowered so heating happens only when someone is at home. In addition, residents can quickly and easily set a higher temperature while the heating programme is running and also adjust it to suit new conditions. The Radiator Thermostat II can be controlled easily and conveniently from a couch via Google Assistant or Alexa, or even remotely controlled via the app when residents are away from home. The new and revised design makes it more intuitive and even more convenient to control the device with rotary or pressing movements. The illuminated ring is visible from all viewing angles and shows which commands are being carried out: red stands for warmer and blue for cooler. Furthermore, the modern display with maximal contrast and backlighting ensures optimal readability in all lighting conditions. The Radiator Thermostat II is suitable for a wide variety of installation situations thanks to its compact size of 87 x 51 x 51 mm and its rotatable display. As a perfect complement to the Radiator Thermostat II, the Room Thermostat II has an additional sensor that measures the temperature at a predefined point in the room, thus ensuring stable and efficient temperature control. As a result, the radiator thermostats continue to heat only until the predefined location reaches the desired temperature. In addition to displaying the room temperature, the Room Thermostat II also provides an overview of the current heating settings and relative humidity. Both the measured temperature and the relative humidity can be used in smart automations. For example, residents can create notifications for ventilation or automatically start integrated air humidifiers or dehumidifiers via an adapter plug. The Smart Upgrade for Underfloor Heating and More: The Room Thermostat II 230 VSmart heat regulation: supports the networking of wired heating systems such as underfloor heating or heat generators. Convenient overview: the room’s current temperature, its relative humidity and the status of the heating controller are shown at a glance. Versatile operation: directly on the device, fully automated or by voice via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant and at any time via app. Bosch Smart Home also offers a smart new solution for owners of underfloor heating systems. The smart Room Thermostat II 230 V can control wired heating systems such as underfloor heating or heat generators. Nearly invisible on the wall thanks to its slim design, the Room Thermostat II 230 V reliably measures the temperature and relative humidity in the room. It also enables its user to set the heating control, and it indicates the activity status of the heating or cooling process in combination with a heat pump. It can be operated either directly on the device, fully automatically or by voice via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant and, of course, also remotely at any time via an app. This ensures that heating only happens when necessary. If the user forgets to turn off the heating when no one is at home, the heating can be turned off easily and conveniently via smartphone while away from home. And if you want to enjoy a warm welcome when returning to your own four walls, simply tapping your smartphone with your fingertip on your way home suffices to pre-set the desired room temperature.
