With the powerful EXPERT EXTH18V-50M, Bosch is launching the world’s first cordless battery-powered stapler with the full power of an air tool. The stapler belongs to Bosch's top performance class Expert, which consistently provides the optimal solution for crucial everyday applications, thereby equipping professionals with tools for the highest demands. The EXPERT EXTH18V-50M is also part of the “Professional 18V System” from Bosch, which covers all relevant applications with 18 volts and even goes beyond the Bosch range thanks to multiple partners in the multi-brand AmpShare Alliance: All tools – from the compact screwdriver to the miter saw – can be operated using the same 18V lithium-ion battery and only one charger. This saves tradespeople time, space, and money.

Pneumatic performance without additional technology and expensive consumables

The EXPERT EXTH18V-50M combines cordless freedom with the performance of pneumatic, i.e. compressed air-powered, staplers – without the effort and costs associated with compressors, hoses, and gas cartridges. As the gasless flywheel drive does not require cartridges, there are no unpleasant odors or unhealthy fumes. The low kickback is easy on the wrists and contributes to ergonomic working.

The cordless stapler uses standard 16-gage staples with a wire thickness of 1.6 millimeters, a spine width of 11.3 millimeters (KG700, widely used in Europe) or 10.8 millimeters (Senco N/G5562), a length of 25 to 50 millimeters, and a magazine angle of 0 degrees. This makes it suitable for fastening hardwood and construction timber, medium-hard wood, and other dry construction materials such as gypsum fiberboard and coarse chipboard. The accessory range from Bosch includes an extensive selection of staples, including EXPERT KG700 staples with lengths between 30 and 50 millimeters, which penetrate the material with less resistance thanks to their diamond coating. These diamond-coated Expert staples have the European Technical Assessment (ETA) and are therefore approved for use in all EU countries for load-bearing connections, even under permanent load for pull-out and shearing.

Thumbwheel and viewing window allow for quick and easy operation.

The stapler is switched on and off with the thumb, which avoids unnecessary interruptions to work. The penetration depth into the material can be adjusted quickly and easily using an ergonomic thumbwheel and a viewing window. Professionals can switch between single and contact trigger on the integrated control panel, while symbols indicate scheduled maintenance. The nose piece can be reversed: The smooth side ensures flawless surfaces for drywall work, while the serrated side provides more grip when working with coarse chipboard, for example. A practical double LED precisely illuminates the working area. Jammed staples can be removed without tools thanks to the quick and easy access on the nose of the device, while the sturdy metal hook allows easy storage.

The EXPERT EXTH18V-50M will be available from January 2026. It comes in a high-quality XL-Boxx with space for batteries, charger, and the most important accessories. All prices are recommended retail prices and do not include VAT.

The Robert Bosch Power Tools GmbH, a division of the Bosch Group, is one of the world’s leading providers for power tools, garden tools, power tool accessories and measuring tools. In 2024, its 18,700 associates generated sales* of 5.1 billion euros, about 90 percent of which outside of Germany.
