New in Bosch’s Top Performance Class Expert: Three Cordless Angle Grinders for Demanding Pros

Bosch expands its top-performance class Expert with three new angle grinders: the EXPERT EXWS18V2-230P, the EXPERT EXWS18V-180P, and the EXPERT EXWS18V-15S, which is also available as the X-Lock variant, EXPERT EXWX18V-15S. All three cordless angle grinders belong to Bosch's top-performance Expert class, which provides professionals with power tools, measuring technology, and accessories for the highest demands. These cordless power tools are also part of Bosch's ‘Professional 18V System’, which covers all relevant 18-volt applications and, thanks to the multi-brand AmpShare alliance, even extends beyond Bosch's own offering. Many brands, many tools, one battery system: All tools – from compact screwdrivers to miter saws – can be operated with one and the same 18-volt lithium-ion battery and a single charger.

EXWS18V2-230P: Powerful, ergonomic, and with high cutting depth

As the first cordless large angle grinder from Bosch with a 230-mm disc, the EXPERT EXWS18V2-230P redefines performance and handling in its class. For exceptionally fast and efficient work, it delivers superior performance equivalent to corded 2,700-watt angle grinders.

This immense power is achieved through modern Biturbo technology, which includes a brushless 2x 18-volt high-performance motor and a drive system specifically designed to fully utilize the extreme power of Bosch Expert batteries.

This enormous power is complemented by outstanding ergonomics and tool control: The perfectly balanced design with an ideal center of gravity, achieved by intelligently positioning the batteries directly under the tool, ensures fatigue-free work and precise guidance in every application. The motor housing, rotatable by 2x 90-degrees, further improves handling by enabling an ideal and comfortable grip position for all cutting and grinding tasks, whether for left- or right-handed users. Thanks to its high performance and clever design, this large cordless angle grinder offers an exceptionally high cutting depth of 75 mm.

For high user protection, the EXPERT EXWS18V2-230P is equipped with various functions, such as Kickback Control for immediate motor shutdown if the disc jams, a Protection Switch for instant shutdown when the switch is released, and an intelligent braking function for a quick stop of the accessory.

For working at heights (e.g., on scaffolding), a lanyard attachment point on the device allows for the installation of fall protection. Furthermore, the metal cutting guard clip offers additional user protection in the event of a bursting disc.

EXWS18V-180P: Compact and powerful with high cutting depth

The EXPERT EXWS18V-180P redefines compactness in angle grinders, offering the extreme cutting depth of a large 230-mm angle grinder in the handy size and low weight of a small angle grinder. This innovative combination of power and compactness enables efficient work.

The device is also powered by a brushless Biturbo high-performance motor, whose drive system is specially designed to fully utilize the extreme power of Expert batteries. This ensures strong performance equivalent to up to 1,500 watts of corded power, guaranteeing rapid work progress in all cutting applications.

The superior design of the EXPERT EXWS18V-180P, featuring a gearbox head pre-rotated by 90 degrees, ensures optimal handling and control, especially in demanding cutting applications. High user protection is also a core focus on this device. The angle grinder is equipped with Kickback Control, a Protection Switch, intelligent braking function, and restart protection. Furthermore, the metal cutting guard clip also offers additional protection in the event of a bursting disc.

EXWS18V-15S: Powerful and compact for versatile use

The EXPERT EXWS18V-15S sets new benchmarks for small cordless angle grinders, delivering superior performance equivalent to 1,500 watts of corded power. Driven by a brushless Biturbo high-performance motor, this tool is specifically engineered to fully exploit the extreme energy of Bosch Expert batteries, thus ensuring consistently high output. Its robust metal flange protects the gearbox from wear, ensuring a long product lifespan.

Beyond its impressive performance, the EXPERT EXWS18V-15S offers high user protection and optimal control, including the intelligent braking function, Kickback Control to minimize the risk of injury from a jammed disc, Drop Control, restart protection, and a soft start. Additionally, the tool is available as the EXPERT EXWS18V 15PS in a variant with a paddle switch. This switch ensures the angle grinder is immediately shut off upon release.

The ergonomic design with a slim grip makes working comfortable, and the anti-vibration function in the handle significantly reduces fatigue during prolonged use.

Both tools are also available in the X-Lock variant as EXPERT EXWX18V-15S and EXPERT EXWX18V-15PS. The X-Lock variants also offer the aforementioned functions and, thanks to the X-Lock feature, additionally allow for a tool-free disc change with just one click – fast and easy.
