New disc brake pads for commercial vehicles Bosch is expanding its commercial vehicle spare parts portfolio with a new range of disc brake pads for trucks, trailers, and buses. For workshops, the expanded offering simplifies parts sourcing by providing broad vehicle coverage from a single supplier. The brake pads are designed for a balanced ratio of friction coefficient, comfort, and wear. A special surface coating shortens the break-in period through improved interaction between the brake pad and brake disc. New urea filters for commercial vehicle AdBlue systems Bosch is adding two new urea filters for AdBlue injection systems from third-party manufacturers to its portfolio. The new filters cover applications for different generations of Cummins-Hilite systems, which are used in the Mercedes-Benz Actros as well as in vehicles from DAF and Scania. They help protect injection valves from contamination and support precise AdBlue dosing. For workshops, the portfolio expansion simplifies parts procurement and expands the service offering for exhaust-gas aftertreatment. Steering systems for modern commercial vehicle applications In the steering segment, Bosch is showcasing new solutions for current and future commercial vehicle applications. The electrohydraulic steering system Servotwin combines the proven Servocom steering with electric assistance. This enables additional driver assistance functions and serves as a foundation for automated vehicle functions. Thanks to the electric assistance of the Servotwin, emergency steering functions can also be realized without an additional second hydraulic circuit. The portfolio is complemented by electrohydraulic rear-axle steering systems, which support enhanced vehicle maneuverability and ease of operation in challenging environments. The system's control unit calculates the required steering angle for the rear axle based on the steering angle of the front axle. Based on the steering angle of the front axle, a control unit determines the required steering input for the rear axle. An electric motor drives a hydraulic pump that generates the necessary pressure to actuate a cylinder and steer the rear wheels accordingly. Workshops benefit from this expanded offering for modern commercial vehicle platforms. The new steering components will be available from August 2026. Portfolio expansion of Aerotwin J.E.T-Blade for commercial vehicles Bosch is expanding the Aerotwin J.E.T-Blade program from September 2026 with additional set variants and wiper lengths. With Jet Evolution Technology (J.E.T), the washer fluid is applied directly in front of the wiper blade via integrated nozzles. This reduces annoying spray mist and provides immediate clear vision. Plochingen, Germany – Following a successful pilot phase, during which Bosch Car Service workshops had exclusive access to the new Bosch used-car certificate, the product is now being rolled out to the independent workshop market in many European countries. Starting September 1, every independent workshop that uses the ESI[tronic] diagnostic software will be able to issue the used-car certificate for its customers. This applies to almost 100,000 license holders, which ensures that the product is available almost everywhere in the target markets.With the new used-car certificate, Bosch is introducing a manufacturer-agnostic solution for quickly and easily assessing and documenting the health of a used car based on recorded vehicle data. Drawing on the data stored in the car’s control units, the Bosch certificate provides information on past accidents, active error codes, the state of health of the high-voltage battery, and the current service interval. It can also indicate potential manipulation of the odometer. The Bosch certificate provides not only sellers and buyers of used cars but also mobility service providers, vehicle dealers, and fleet operators with a neutral basis for determining residual value. This brings transparency and trust to the used-car trade. The used-car certificate is automatically integrated into ESI[tronic] by means of a software update and can be easily booked by the workshop as a pay-per-use service. In addition, Bosch has once again expanded the functional scope of the certificate with new key features: the certificate now also indicates whether the airbag control units have been replaced since the vehicle was delivered. This could mean that the vehicle had been damaged in an accident and the airbag system had to be replaced as a result. For better management of the certificates, the new version also includes a certificate history, which lists existing used-car certificates in an easy-to-navigate format and makes them available quickly. Bosch’s new LED Powerlight+ vehicle headlights bring light to the darkness

Karlsruhe, Germany – Starting in fall 2025, Bosch will be presenting LED Powerlight+, its first street-legal LED retrofit solution for halogen headlights. For the first time, workshops can now offer their customers an approved Bosch LED lamp and thus benefit from the increasing demand for modern lighting technologies. Designed as an uncomplicated upgrade, the LED Powerlight+ makes it easy to replace conventional halogen lamps and give vehicles a modern, bright light signature.New service potential for workshops The introduction of the LED Powerlight+ opens up an attractive new service business for workshops. Drivers increasingly want the bright, white light of modern LED headlights, which not only provide a stylish look, but can also improve visibility and safety when driving at night. Bosch’s new retrofit solution enables workshops to fulfill this customer request easily, legally, and with the usual quality standards of a leading automotive supplier. Technology for better visibility and longer service life At the heart of the LED Powerlight+ is a powerful optoelectronic chip that delivers extremely high light output – up to 220 percent more light than a standard halogen lamp. With a color temperature of up to 5,800 Kelvin, the lamp creates an effect similar to daylight, which is easier on the driver’s eyes and makes contrasts easier to see. At the same time, the lamp’s special design ensures precise light distribution and avoids dazzling oncoming traffic. An integrated cooling system reliably protects the electronics from overheating and helps achieve a long service life of up to 2,000 hours. This sustainability consideration greatly reduces the replacement intervals. The lamps are available in the common H1, H4, H7, and W5W types. Simple, street-legal retrofit The general type approval (ABG) issued by Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority is decisive for legal use in road traffic. Bosch provides a compatibility list on its website, so workshop professionals can quickly and easily check whether the LED Powerlight+ is approved for their customer’s vehicle before installation. The list also provides information about any accessories that may be required, such as vehicle-specific adapter rings or CAN bus adapters, which ensure a mechanically and electronically smooth installation, thus avoiding error messages.
