Bosch simplifies lawn care for garden enthusiasts with Visimow18V-100 and Visimow18V-200, the first semi-autonomous robot mowers in the ‘18V Power for All System’. Where traditional robot mowers require secondary infrastructure such as perimeter wires, external power sockets for charging docks, and navigation beacons, the Visimow18V mowers offer freedom and simplicity: Advanced SmartVision camera technology enables them to recognize grass and determine the lawn boundary when clearly defined. The mowers are recommended for gardens up to 100 m² (Visimow18V-100) or 200 m² (Visimow18V-200).

The ‘18V Power for All System’ covers all representative tools in each segment, currently comprises about 80 DIY tools, gardening tools, and home appliances, and even extends beyond the Bosch range with additional partners in the multi-brand ‘Power for All Alliance’. Currently more than 150 tools– from rotary hammers to lawn mowers and even vacuum cleaners – can be operated with the same 18V lithium-ion battery and only one charger. This saves users space and money.

SmartVision technology ensures effortless setup

SmartVision technology enables the Visimow18V series to work without perimeter wires or beacons. The wide dynamic range (WDR) camera system with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) continuously analyzes the surface to identify grass by color and texture. Combined with ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection, the mower knows precisely where to cut. This semi-autonomous approach gives users complete control over their mowing schedule – simply insert a charged battery, place the mower on the lawn, and start it with three easy clicks. The mower begins to work within 25 seconds. The random cutting pattern ensures complete coverage and an effective handling of complex lawn shapes.

Engineered for performance and convenience

Both models feature a brushless cutting motor for maximum efficiency and a whisper-quiet operation at up to 54 dB that will not disturb neighbors. The Visimow18V-100 with a brushed drive motor is designed for smaller gardens, while the Visimow18V-200 with a brushless drive motor offers enhanced durability, an increased cutting width, and a longer lifespan for larger areas. For both models, cutting height can be adjusted between 20 and 60 mm via a simple dial system, allowing users to maintain different lawns at varying heights. The mowers operate on the mulching principle, finely cutting grass clippings that fall back into the lawn as natural fertilizer – promoting healthier growth whilst eliminating waste. With an IPX5 rating, both models can be left out in the rain and easily cleaned with a garden hose after use.

Versatile mowing modes for every situation

The Visimow18V range offers two intelligent operating modes. AutoMow handles regular maintenance cutting, with the mower navigating randomly across the lawn until boundaries are detected. SpotMow provides focused attention for areas missed by AutoMow and areas cleared from sports devices or garden furniture – simply place the mower in position and it spirals outward covering approximately 2 square meters. With the recommended 4.0 Ah battery, the Visimow18V-100 delivers around 4 hours of mowing time when cutting 10 mm in dry conditions. The Visimow18V-200 runs for about 5 hours with the recommended 5.0 Ah battery.

Designed for real-world gardens

Due to its simplicity and the operation which doesn’t require infrastructure, the Visimow18V series can be easily moved between front and rear lawns and different areas of tiered gardens; moreover, it can autonomously handle separate zones connected by passageways. Both models handle slopes up to 35 % (19°) and weighing just 6.9 kg without battery, are easy to carry between different lawn areas. SmartVision technology recognizes typical garden boundaries such as patios, driveways, fencing, and raised beds. For a perfectly finished appearance, Bosch recommends trimming lawn edges with a grass trimmer before to facilitate boundary detection and allow the robot mower to mulch edge cuttings.

The Visimow18V robot mowers are available now. All prices are recommended retail prices including VAT.
