Bosch expands range of measuring tools: Precise Infrared Spot Thermometers for professionals

Bosch is expanding its range of measuring tools and presents a new series of robust infrared thermometers with the GIS12V-800-16 and GIS12V-700-14. The new tools combine precise measurement technology with simple operation and set new standards for tradespeople.

Both tools are precision measuring instruments. The GIS12V-700-14 impresses with intuitive operation and material catalog, while the GIS12V-800-16 goes one step further and offers additional functions such as a Temperature Probe Interface (Type K), LED work light and a two-point laser for better identification of the measurement area. Both models feature robust construction with IP54 protection, protective cap and 2-meter drop protection.

Precise temperature measurement for versatile applications

With the new infrared thermometers GIS12V-800-16 and GIS12V-700-14, professionals receive powerful tools for a broad spectrum of applications. Whether evaluating insulation, locating thermal bridges or diagnosing plumbing, heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems (HVAC) – the tools deliver fast and reliable results.

GIS12V-800-16: Precision meets versatility

The GIS12V-800-16 is designed for the highest demands in precision and versatility. It offers precise infrared temperature measurement with a 20:1 distance-to-spot ratio (D:S) and a two-point laser for easier alignment. The integrated material catalog and extended measurement settings enable optimal adaptation to different surfaces and applications

A highlight is the interface for external Type K temperature probes. This enables contact measurements with different temperature probes on reflective surfaces, in liquids or direct measurement of air flow temperature. The Type K temperature probes are available in the Bosch accessories range.

With its extended measurement temperature range, the tool covers a broad spectrum of applications. Operation is intuitive, thanks to a large 2.4-inch graphic display that presents all information clearly and legibly. The user interface also offers a material catalog for precise measurements and takes reflected temperatures into account. The device is easily controlled via a joypad and a user-friendly two-button control panel. An integrated LED work light ensures optimal visibility even in dark environments. Thanks to dual power options (12V battery or AA1 battery adapter), maximum flexibility is guaranteed.

GIS12V-700-14: Reliable measurement in compact format

The GIS12V-700-14 is ideal for professionals who need a precise and easy-to-use infrared thermometer for daily use. It impresses with a large graphic display and a user-friendly interface. Like the GIS12V-800-16, this tool also offers advanced settings such as a material catalog and a small measurement field for accurate results. The fast boot-up time and rapid temperature acquisition enable efficient working. The tool is excellently suited for evaluating insulation, locating moisture areas or checking components under time pressure. The dual power function (12V battery or AA1 battery adapter) also ensures high flexibility and constant readiness for use in this device.

Designed for durability and comfortable use in the field

Both tools are designed for durability and reliable performance. The IP54 certification, protective cap and 2-meter drop test resistance underscore their robustness. The intuitive operation and clear display ensure comfortable handling. Both tools are compatible with the AA1 battery adapter, which offers flexible power supply with standard AA batteries. Both tools are also compatible with all 12V lithium-ion batteries from Bosch.

The new infrared thermometers GIS12V-800-16 and GIS12V-700-14 will be available from May 2026. All prices are recommended retail prices and do not include VAT.
