Bosch, the supplier of technology and services, still has climate action in its sights despite worldwide economic turbulence, and has announced new scope 3 targets: the aim is to bring down carbon emissions outside Bosch’s direct sphere of influence, such as those from product use, even further by 2030. Irrespective of its growth targets, Bosch wants to double its corresponding CO₂ reduction target by then from 15 to 30 percent compared to 2018.
With its more than 450 locations worldwide, the Bosch Group has been carbon neutral overall (scopes 1 and 2 of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard) since 2020. This is achieved with four levers: improving energy efficiency, generating energy from renewable sources, purchasing green electricity, and offsetting residual CO₂ emissions with carbon credits.
