Added value thanks to high user and health protection – Bosch offers trades-people an extensive system for efficient and safe working. The spectrum rang-es from solutions which immediately minimize the risk of injury for the user to solutions which protect against long-term health risks. As an example of immediate protection, there are sensor-based functions such as KickBack Control: If the integrated sensor detects sudden blockages during the work process, for example when tilting a drill or cutting disc, this function will switch off the motor within a fraction of a second, minimizing the risk of injury caused by kickback.

Bosch is a leading manufacturer of sensors and utilizes synergies within the Bosch Group to offer added value to tradespeople through sensor-based tech-nology. KickBack Control has been integrated into 25 Bosch Professional power tools, such as the GBH 18V-26 (F) Professional rotary hammer, the GWS 18V-125 SC Professional angle grinder and the new GSR 18V-60 FC Professional FlexiClick drill/driver. Bosch offers the widest range of sensor-based protective functions on the market. More than four million professional power tools with KickBack Control have already been sold across the world – the advantage for the user is evident.

Immediate protection minimizes the risk of injury in day-to-day work
Another example of the use of sensors is Drop Control: If a tool falls, this func-tion immediately switches it off as soon as it hits the ground. The GWS 18V-125 SC Professional is the first power tool in the world to feature this function. It combines KickBack Control and Drop Control for maximum user protection in one tool. Mechanical and electronic functions such as overload clutch, restart protection, the Intelligent Brake System and the Protection Switch also offer reliable protection for tradespeople. Restart protection ensures that a device does not continue to run after the power supply has been interrupted. The Intelligent Brake System stops the disc of an angle grinder within just two seconds. If the angle grinder is equipped with Protection Switch, it will only run for as long as the switch is pressed. This allows users to always maintain full control of their tool.

Long term protection prevents health risks
The immediate protection of the user is not the only thing that matters – it is just as important to protect the user from vibrations and dust in the long-term. Bosch therefore provides tools with Vibration Control or vibration-proof handles. The GBH 18V-26 (F) Professional rotary hammer, for example, has a damping element which uncouples the main handle from the hammer drive, reducing active vibrations. The GSA 18V-32 Professional saber saw has a counterweight which constantly counteracts the inertial forces. This means that this saber saw offers the lowest vibrations in its class. This vibration damping principle also comes into play in the hammer design.

Beyond this, Bosch also provides an extensive range of dust extraction solu-tions: The Click & Clean system comprises of tools, wet/dry extractors, dust ex-tractor accessories and L-Boxxes, which are precisely harmonized with each other and which function together to make work healthier, more tool-friendly, faster, more efficient and more precise. This includes the dust class M-certified GAS 35 M AFC Professional and GAS 55 M AFC Professional wet/dry extrac-tors. Both extractors are equipped with automatic filter cleaning, which offers a permanently high suction power and thus ensures a continuous work progress. Compact and powerful cordless dust extractors such as the GAS 18V-10 L Professional are ideal for mobile tasks. The Click & Clean system is compatible with various dust extraction systems, such as those designed for drilling and chiseling tools, or with extraction guards for angle grinders. They extract the dust directly from where it is produced. The result is healthier, less tiring and more precise working.

With the GBH 18V-26 Professional and GBH 18V-26 F Professional rotary hammers, Bosch has gone one step further: These are the first 18 volt Bosch hammers with active integrated dust extraction. With these tools, Bosch is providing tradespeople with suitable solutions for a range of requirements.
