Stuttgart – At IFA 2025, Bosch Smart Home is once again demonstrating that its products and solutions are impressive thanks not only to their first-class quality, but also to innovation. With the expansion of its product and service portfolio to include the new Motion Detector II [+M], Security+ and Home+, the award-winning alarm system is being raised to a new level.The utmost security via reliable technology: the Motion Detector II [+M] The new Motion Detector II [+M] offers an innovative combination of security and convenience. Thanks to precise motion detection with a detection range of up to 13 meters, an integrated orientation light and flexible operation in the Bosch Smart Home system or Matter systems*, the Motion Detector II [+M] combines state-of-the-art technology and minimalist design. In an emergency, the device – as part of the Bosch Smart Home alarm system – triggers an on-site alarm in the event of undesired movement; at the same time, users receive a push notification on their smartphone to validate the alarm (via a live camera image**). The integrated filter for small animals minimizes false alarms caused by pets up to 80 cm in height. Furthermore, the demolition alarm ensures that tampering attempts are immediately detected and reported. Comprehensive security through 24/7 emergency assistance: Security+ Security+ provides a professional 24/7 emergency call centre that can intervene immediately in the event of an alarm. If an alarm is displayed in the Bosch Smart Home app and the users do not respond, Security+ is activated and the emergency call centre tries to reach the users by phone. If they cannot be reached, the call centre gets in touch with designated emergency contacts. These trusted contact persons assess the situation – on-site if necessary. If no further assistance is required, the alarm is discontinued and the case is closed. Otherwise, the emergency call centre immediately coordinates additional activities and notifies the police or fire department to minimize damage. Thanks to direct connection to the appropriate emergency services, the emergency call centre can mobilize assistance immediately: this is crucial in the event of a burglary, a fire or a water leak. Individualized emergency plans enable users to specify their preferences for emergency contacts and alarm sequences. Security+ also includes additional camera features with intelligent audio analysis: this enables the indoor cameras to detect specific sound patterns such as broken glass or the shrill alarms of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Security+ also provides 30 days of cloud storage of up to 400 clips with individually selectable clip lengths. Additional security in up to three Bosch Smart Home systems: Home+ The new, optional Home+ upgrade enables users to centrally control up to three Bosch Smart Home systems via a single app. Multisystem control ensures that users always have an overview of their home – whether at their primary residence, vacation home or second home – or to assist family members with operating the app and devices. The alarm system activated in all Bosch Smart Home systems immediately alerts users in the event of a break-in, the presence of smoke or water leaks, thus enabling them to respond quickly – even when no one is at home. At the same time, smart remote control of heating and lighting efficiently reduces energy consumption and the associated expenses. Home+ thus makes it possible for users to enjoy the benefits of the Bosch Smart Home system beyond the confines of their own four walls. Home+ also provides intelligent audio analysis and extended cloud storage. As a 3-in-1 package, it further enhances its user’s quality of life. Availability and prices The new Motion Detector II [+M] is available immediately for €49.95 including 19% VAT. Security+ is immediately available in the Bosch Smart Home app for a monthly fee of €29.99 including 19% VAT. Whether in the event of a break-in, fire or water leak, a quick response is crucial to minimise damage. The award-winning Bosch Smart Home alarm system already offers reliable protection and notifies its users directly on their smartphones in the event of an alarm. But what if you are not available at that very moment? The new Security+ service augments the alarm system with a 24/7 emergency call centre that provides personal assistance in an emergency and reliably coordinates with emergency contacts, the fire brigade or the police. The Security+ service integrates seamlessly into the existing Bosch Smart Home system and expands its functionality with professional support and smart camera functions.24/7 emergency assistance for all-round security Security+ offers a professional 24/7 emergency call centre that can intervene immediately in the event of an alarm. If an alarm is displayed in the Bosch Smart Home app and the user does not respond, Security+ is automatically activated and the emergency call centre attempts to reach the person by telephone. If the individual cannot be reached, specified emergency contacts are contacted to assess the situation, if necessary, on site. If no further assistance is required, the alarm situation is deactivated. Otherwise, the emergency call centre immediately coordinates further measures and minimises damage by notifying the police or fire brigade. Thanks to its direct connection to relevant emergency services, the emergency call centre can mobilise help immediately – because prompt intervention is crucial in the event of a break-in, fire or water leak. Bespoke emergency plans for individualised protection Another highlight of Security+ is the option of creating individualised emergency plans. Custom-tailored to meet the specific needs of the residents, these plans enable users to predefine their preferences for emergency contacts and alarm sequences. By contacting designated neighbours or people who have been entrusted with spare housekeys, Bosch security experts can assess emergency situations on site more quickly and accurately – and mobilise appropriate assistance. This ensures that precisely the right steps are taken in an emergency. To guarantee the security and confidentiality of personal information, all data is encrypted and stored in Germany and in accordance with strict data protection regulations. Advanced camera functions for optimal control Security+ also includes additional camera feature intelligent audio analysis and extended cloud storage. Intelligent audio analysis enables indoor cameras to recognise specific sound patterns such as the noise of shattering glass or the sirens of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. In the event of danger, an alarm is triggered immediately and the users or the emergency call centre are notified so they can respond quickly. The expanded cloud storage for smart cameras ensures that no important recordings are lost: this is particularly important for subsequent evaluation or for use as evidence. The storage of up to 400 video clips with individually selectable clip lengths for thirty days is particularly useful for evaluating all relevant event recordings in case of an alarm and, if necessary, for presenting them to the police or the user’s insurance company. Innovative services for more security, convenience and flexibility Security+ expands the Bosch Smart Home system and offers its users maximum security, greater convenience and full flexibility. This service is part of a comprehensive portfolio of optional services that expand the functionality of the Bosch Smart Home system and thus ensure comprehensive security. The new Bosch Smart Home Wall Switch for smart actuators is the perfect accessory for space-saving installation of the Bosch Smart Home Light/Roller Shutter Control II, Relay and Dimmer in the appliance box. The new switch saves 15 millimetres compared to standard commercial solutions and, depending on the connection cable, can be used with an installation depth of a mere 35 millimetres.Flexible and customised installation The Wall Switch for smart actuators comes as a set consisting of switch, frame, frame holder and rocker. Thanks to its compact design and eight fastening points, the Wall Switch for smart actuators can be installed in almost any flushmounted box with screw fasteners. As a complete solution, it can completely replace existing switches or be integrated into existing, compatible switch series. This enables invisible installation behind the existing rocker and frame of standard switch series. Stuttgart – Bosch Smart Home is releasing a pioneering update for the Bosch Smart Home Controller II, thus setting the course for the new Matter communication standard. This update enables Bosch Smart Home devices* to be seamlessly integrated into a universal, cross-brand smart home network. The standard developed by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) offers compatibility with devices from various manufacturers, thus supporting an individually customised smart home setup.Advantages of Matter: Seamless integration and expanded compatibility In the context of CSA, hundreds of companies are working together to promote the development of a common wireless protocol with Matter as a standard. This simplifies the interoperability of smart home devices from different manufacturers and the standardisation of set-up and update processes. A significant advantage of Matter as a universal language lies in local communication between devices and hubs, which communicate without requiring detours via the internet or cloud services. Direct, encrypted communication accelerates response times and enhances data security. Bosch Smart Home Controller II – the bridge to Matter The Smart Home Controller II is the first device from Bosch to support the pioneering communication standard for smart home devices. As the central interface to Matter, Bosch’s controller is designed to integrate both existing and future Bosch Smart Home products into a comprehensive, manufacturer-independent network. This facilitates communication, supported by the Matter standard, between Bosch Smart Home devices and the Matter network. This maximises interoperability and control via the Matter network. The update of the Smart Home Controller II to a Matter Bridge paves the way for an open, future-proof smart home system. Stuttgart – The new Bosch Smart Home Eyes Outdoor Camera II is more than just a high-precision security camera for home. Its stylish design with a bright front lamp and colour-customisable top and bottom lights also makes it a handsome eye-catcher outdoors. The integrated 75-decibel siren sounds a loud alarm to frighten burglars away. The Eyes Outdoor Camera II can be used independently with the Bosch Smart Home Camera app or integrated into the Bosch Smart Home system.*Smart motion detection for enhanced security Reliably protecting their own homes is the top priority for many people. With a 145° field of view, DualRadar sensors, and manually rotatable and tiltable camera head, the Eyes Outdoor Camera II provides ideal monitoring of the area under surveillance. Thanks to 3D motion detection and smart video analysis, the camera automatically distinguishes human activities from other motions such as a roving cat or a windblown branch – which avoids false alarms. The masking function blacks out predefined zones (for example, neighbouring properties) and excludes them from the recording, thus protecting the privacy of third parties. The Eyes Outdoor Camera II easily masters darkness too thanks to its front lamp, which shines with a brightness up to 1 100 lumens, thus enabling the camera to also capture sharply focused images in full HD colour both day and night. If motion is detected while the Eyes Outdoor Camera II is in security mode, the device shows another of its talents. In addition to high-precision video recording, its integrated 75-decibel siren sounds a loud alarm and its red upper and lower lights begin to flash, thus providing both audible and visual deterrence in emergencies. Of course, when a stranger enters one’s property, it doesn’t necessarily mean danger. For example, the visitor could simply be a parcel carrier arriving at the door with a long-awaited delivery when no one is at home. In this case, the Eyes Outdoor Camera II acts like an intercom system. Via livestream on their smartphone, the user can see who is standing in front of the door and can communicate with them by means of the integrated loudspeaker and microphone. This makes it easy to instruct parcel carriers where they can safely leave their deliveries. Brings light into the darkness The integrated lighting options provide an additional sense of security. Using innovative DualRadar technology, the camera detects movements and measures distances with two modern radar sensors. It covers a field of vision of 180° and, as soon as movement is detected, it illuminates the property in the desired brightness. The property can initially be lit by subdued lighting or, as a deterrent, by bright lamps shining at full intensity. This way, passing cars or passers-by outside the monitored area do not trigger the motion light. The Bosch Smart Camera app enables its user to adjust the brightness of the front lamp (from warm to cool white) as well as the top and bottom lights, which can optimally illuminate the property in more than 1 500 colours. All lamps can also be individually switched and used with automatic twilight or individual time settings. Particularly clever: the Cloud+ extension covers all cameras in the Bosch Smart Home system.
