In order to offer professionals a suitable solution without an annoying cord for every job in a workshop or on a construction site, Bosch is launching two new cordless jigsaws on the market in the Professional 18V System: the GST 18V-155 SC Professional and GST 18V-155 BC Professional for particularly precise cuts and detailed work. The tools have a cutting depth of 155 mm and are available with either a barrel grip or a bow handle (B). Thanks to modern battery technology, the new tool generation is comparable with corded tools. A brushless motor delivers high performance. Furthermore, the Professional 18V System covers all other significant 18V applications that, thanks to the multi-brand AmpShare battery alliance, go even beyond Bosch. Many brands, many tools, one battery system: All tools ‒ from compact drill drivers to miter saws with up to 2,000W of equivalent corded power ‒ can be operated with the same 18V lithium-ion battery and a single charger. Tradespeople therefore save time, space, and money.

Precision tools with an interactive display and individual setting via app

The GST 18V-155 SC Professional and GST 18V-155 BC Professional jigsaws are designed for work that requires high precision and optimum results, for example low-tear cut-outs in worktops. Their new saw blade guide prevents the saw blade from bending even in narrow curves. This enables precise curved and freehand cuts to be made. The tools are well balanced and fit perfectly in the hand when used with the recommended ProCore18V battery with 4.0 Ah. The barrel grip version GST 18V-155 SC Professional is ergonomic for right-handed and left-handed users alike thanks to its 360-degree grip circumference and an on/off switch on each side of the tool. It can also be easily guided when sawing from below. In addition, the jigsaws now offer tradespeople such as joiners, kitchen installers and trade fair constructors a user interface for the first time ‒ an interactive display on the tool ‒ and can even be individually adapted to the respective application via app. On request, the tools therefore save, for example, the set speed for sawing different materials such as hard wood, chipboard, or wood composite materials. The individual speed settings and other functions such as ‘Adaptive Speed Control’ (ASC) for a soft starting of the GST 18V-155 SC Professional saw can be controlled in the Bosch Toolbox app.

The GST 18V-155 BC Professional has an accelerator switch which allows to continuously control the cutting speed, e.g., reduce the stroke rate at the start of the cut for better precision. Thanks to the switchable LED light, professionals always have a clear view of the cutting line. The jigsaws also offer a high level of occupational health and safety: The new ‘Drop Control’ function, which is unique in jigsaws, switches off the tool automatically when it is dropped. Anyone wanting to work with very low dust levels can fit an adapter to connect a wet/dry extractor such as the GAS 18V-10 L Professional.

The GST 18V-155 SC Professional and GST 18V-155 BC Professional cordless jigsaws will be available from December onwards. A wide range of accessories, e.g. jigsaw blades ‘Expert Hardwood fast’ with carbide technology, are available in the Bosch accessory program. The prices are recommended retail prices excluding VAT.
