The laser measures GLM 50-27 C and CG Professional from Bosch combine high robustness with a fast, convenient measurement as well as simple documentation and processing of measuring data. The tools differ in the color of their lasers: The GLM 50-27 C Professional operates with a red laser diode, the GLM 50-27 CG Professional with a green one. This improves its laser point visibility, particularly in bright areas such as during installation work in front of large window areas in concrete or steel frame construction. Both tools measure distances of up to 50 meters to an accuracy of ±1.5 millimeters and are particularly robust: They have an ABS housing with stabilizing ribs and shock absorbing rubber casing as well as a particularly break-proof display with a tear-resistant silicone keyboard. They thus remain undamaged even after falls onto concrete from a height of 1.50 meters. Furthermore, both laser measures are IP65-certified and, thanks to their all-round rubber seal, are both jet-water protected as well as dustproof.

Improved handling through optimized user interface and extended functions

Planners and craftsmen can operate the clearly arranged keypad effortlessly and precisely, even when wearing work gloves. The individual functions can be selected conveniently using the selection wheel. They are displayed by means of symbols and now additionally by keywords such as “Length”, “Continuous measurement” or “Level” in 30 languages, which further simplifies the application. In addition, newly integrated animations provide assistance with all measurement functions from the very first application. This includes, for example, the Stake Out function, which allows you to measure and mark equal distances very quickly. A new feature is that the different measurements can now be displayed at the push of a button as on a tape measure, making it easier for users to read and mark. If you want to display only the current measured value for continuous measurements, you can see it immediately thanks to the “Big numbers” function. Indirect measurements as well as area and volume calculations are also a matter of course. The tool also features a tilt sensor and, therefore, can also be used to measure inclines and as a digital spirit level. The color display rotates automatically (as with smartphones), allowing the user to easily read off values in any situation. And if the display cannot be seen, for example when measuring overhead, the new vibration feedback provides reliable feedback on every successful or failed measurement. Another benefit is an optionally available lithium-ion battery, which also works enduringly at lower temperatures. It is charged via USB-C and can also be connected to a standard power bank. This provides even more flexibility for planners and craftspeople.

Easier data processing via app and cloud

Users save not only the folding rule and tape measure with the laser measures, but also the scratchpad: GLM 50-27 C and CG Professional transfer their results via integrated Bluetooth function to the new MeasureOn App, where they can be digitally processed via smartphone. This eliminates errors that can creep in when data is transferred manually. The application supports all connected laser measures in the program ‒ professional tools as well as measuring tools for do-it-yourselfers. The data is transferred to digital workspaces via app, putting an end to analog paperwork. You can imagine these workspaces as a giant sheet of paper: Sketches of individual rooms, measured values, photos and notes can be brought together on one surface. How exactly the data is arranged, for example, all rooms of a building on one workspace or rather only rooms of one floor per workspace with all associated notes and pictures, is entirely up to the user. He can work the way he wants in order to record and manage the construction site in the best possible way. Furthermore, data can also be shared externally per PDF, for example, with the building owner. A special advantage of MeasureOn and new is that all data can be saved in the cloud and can therefore be accessed regardless of location and device. MeasureOn also has an additional module: data access via PC using all common web browsers. This makes it possible, for example, to transfer measured values from the cloud to offer and invoicing software from the office. The MeasureOn Cloud can be accessed using the Bosch ID, which is set up once during initial use for the digital services from Bosch.

The laser measures GLM 50-27 C and CG Professional and the optional lithium-ion battery are available from February 2021. The smartphone app and data access per PC are also available as of February. All named prices are recommended retail prices.
