press release

Bosch is expanding its “Compact Generation” – a series of exceptionally handy and compact tools – to offer do-it-yourselfers three new angle grinders: the PWS 1000-125, the PWS 1000-125 CE and the PWS 1300-125 CE. These angle grinders belong to the “Expert” class and improve on their predecessors by providing longer lifetime, a higher level of user protection and optimized handling. They have powerful 1000 and 1300 watt motors, up to 40 percent less vibration and an even more compact design than the previous “Expert” models. This makes them the most user-friendly angle grinders in their class.

Tool features for a high level of user convenience and safety
All three models are equipped with an anti-vibration handle and an anti-rotation, tool-free adjustable protective guard. The PWS 1000-125 CE and PWS 1300-125 CE models additionally have Constant Electronic, CE for short, which ensures that the tools deliver full power even under load. They also have a continuously variable speed for material-specific working of different building components and metals, and they possess comprehensive safety features: they start without jolting (soft start), are protected against unwanted starting after a power failure (restart protection), and switch themselves off automatically if the disc jams (kick-back and overload protection). They therefore offer do-it-yourselfers a high level of user protection.

The right tool for every application
Bosch offers do-it-yourselfers the right tool for every application: the PWS 1000-125 with 1000 watts is, for example, suitable for quick and easy cutting of sheet steel, while the PWS 1000-125 CE is also designed for tougher grinding jobs or for cutting thicker metal profiles thanks to its Constant Electronic. The PWS 1300-125 CE with 1300 watts is the most powerful of the tools and additionally has an extended handle with a smaller diameter. This enables do-it-yourselfers to grind and remove rust from larger surfaces very comfortably and efficiently.

Long lifetime thanks to dust protection system with labyrinth
The “Dust Protection System” reliably protects the motor bearings of the angle grinders against dirt. This is thanks to optimized airflow and an integrated dust labyrinth which prevents dust particles from reaching the ball bearing inside the tool and damaging it.

The PWS 1000-125, PWS 1000-125 CE and PWS 1300-125 CE angle grinders are available at retail outlets at the recommended retail prices of 99.99 euros, 129.99 euros and 149.99 euros including VAT. All models are supplied in a robust tool case. Accessories such as cutting and grinding discs are available in the Bosch accessory range.
