press release

Routing jobs such as profiling corners and edges or making cuts for flush-mounted fittings require precision. Even deviations in a range of tenths of a millimeter can lead to the cut not providing the desired result. Bosch is now adding two powerful precision tools for professionals to its router range, namely the GOF 1250 CE Professional and GOF 1250 LCE Professional models. They feature easy fine-adjustment and enable especially precise tool control – the most important requirements for precise routing – thanks to their new geometry. Moreover, these tools are versatile to use thanks to their powerful 1 250 watt motor and a plunge depth of 60 millimeters – from trimming through to complex copying applications.

They are identical except for two product features: the GOF 1250 CE Professional displays the plunge depth using a scale, while the GOF 1250 LCE Professional has a digital depth display. Its display makes it even easier to set and reproduce the desired values. In addition to this, the GOF 1250 LCE Professional has an integrated LED ring which illuminates the work area to make precise work easier.

Work precisely thanks to easy adjustment and control of the tools
The routers are finely adjusted using the “After-Lock” fine adjustment system which can be used to readjust the selected routing depth in a range of tenths of a millimeter – even in the plunged position. Both tools also have a new geometry: the base plate on each now has two straight, right-angled edges. They are used to guide the routers along a fence that is clamped onto the workpiece. The edges of the base plate and the plunge columns are aligned so that the router bit is always clearly in view and therefore under control. This is also facilitated by the transparent base plate. The new, ergonomic grip design – knob on one side, handle on the other – enables the user to take up the position most comfortable for him, making it even easier to control the routers.

Easy bit changes
A bit change is done quickly thanks to the innovative spindle lock with parked position: simply place the router on its head, activate the spindle lock and engage the parked position. Now the user has both hands free to change the bit.

The tool's features are completed by Constant Electronic (CE) that ensures consistent performance under load, speed pre-selection that enables the rotation frequency to be adapted to different materials and router bits, and a dust-extraction outlet that is integrated into the base plate to which any standard wet/dry dust extractor can be connected without the need for an adapter.

The new routers will be available at specialist retail outlets from now onwards at the following recommended retail prices plus VAT:
  • GOF 1250 CE Professional in the L-Boxx for 389 euros and in a carton for 359 euros,
  • GOF 1250 LCE Professional in the L-Boxx for 429 euros.
Each comes complete with an eight-millimeter collet, a WAF 19 open-ended spanner, a template guide adapter, a 17-millimeter template guide, a centering cone and a parallel guide with fine adjustment. Accessories such as router bits or guide rails are available in the Bosch range.
