press release

The GBR 15 CA Professional and GBR 15 CAG Professional concrete grinders from Bosch are robust tools that offer high grinding performance. Both of these professional tools have a powerful 1500 watt motor which ensures fast work progress even under load thanks to its Constant Electronic, for example when removing formwork-related concrete residues. Finishing trades such as plasterers, painters and tilers can also grind, for example, weather-beaten surfaces, uneven wall surfaces or mortar and adhesive residues quickly and reliably to prepare them for subsequent work.

Two tool versions for various requirements
The GBR 15 CAG Professional is designed for grinding close to the edge. It has a protective guard that can be opened. As a result, the diamond grinding head which is being used can get closer to floor, wall and ceiling edges and existing installations such as pipes, enabling the adjacent surfaces to be ground precisely. This makes the GBR 15 CAG Professional especially versatile, enabling professional tradespeople to quickly and thoroughly grind surfaces even in time-consuming renovation projects.

The GBR 15 CA Professional is designed for grinding large surfaces. It has a metal guard, is very robust and at the same time light weight and powerful. The GBR 15 CA Professional is therefore especially suitable for applications which require a high and fast material removal rate, for example in structural work when flattening larger concrete surfaces such as floors and walls.

Protection for user and machine
A special advantage of the concrete grinders is the possibility to easily connect a dust extraction system. Both tools are part of the “Click & Clean System” from Bosch. It comprises power tools, wet/dry dust extractors, dust extractor accessories and L-Boxxes, which are precisely harmonized with each other and which combine to help make work healthier, kinder to your tools, faster, more efficient and more precise. A long lifetime of the machines is ensured by a four-stage dust labyrinth. It prevents abrasive concrete dust from entering into the gearbox and motor of the tools and damaging them.

Both tools weigh only 2.6 kilograms. They have a handle with slim circumference and softgrip surface. These product features enable professional tradespeople to work with the Bosch concrete grinders comfortably and with minimal fatigue even over an extended period of time. The features of the tools are completed by a brush ring and a large spindle lock button which makes it easier to change the diamond grinding head.

Both concrete grinders will be available at specialist retail outlets from January 2014 onwards in the following versions:
  • GBR 15 CAG Professional in the L-Boxx including “Best for Concrete” diamond grinding head and three replacement brush sets for 549 euros,
  • GBR 15 CA Professional in a carrying case including three replacement brush sets for 399 euros.
All prices are recommended retail prices excluding VAT. Accessories such as grinding heads and replacement brushes are available in the Bosch range of accessories.
