press release

Air-conditioning systems that operate using the R134a refrigerant will continue to govern everyday life in the workshop for a long time; not least because new vehicles in the EU can still be supplied with the refrigerant, which was previously commonplace, until 2016. For this reason, Bosch has once again significantly expanded its range of servicing units for the R134a refrigerant.

The new ACS 511 and 611 air-conditioning service units offer a high level of automation, thereby simplifying maintenance work. The units monitor each work step in a fully automated process, enabling air-conditioning equipment to be serviced efficiently while saving on time. The ACS 511 has been designed specifically with workshops with a lower level of service requests in mind. The Bosch ACS 611 sets itself apart thanks to its powerful compressor and the high level of performance offered by the vacuum pump. These features make the unit ideally suited to maintaining air-conditioning systems in passenger cars and trucks. To tackle the particular requirements placed on air-conditioning servicing by heavy-duty commercial vehicles and buses, Bosch is bringing a tailor-made solution onto the market in the form of the automatic ACS 810. All new air-conditioning service units have been developed in collaboration with the specialists at Robinair. These products can be viewed as the first result of the acquisition of the SPX Service Solutions unit that took place back in December 2012.

Integrated Scales for Accurate Quantity Control
The new air-conditioning service units also offer automatic recovery, recycling and replenishment of the oil and refrigerant. During this process, integrated scales ensure the quantities are controlled in an extremely precise manner. In manual mode, the mechanic can also monitor each work step individually. The ACS 611 and ACS 810 units offer a particularly high level of performance and are equipped with a powerful two-stage vacuum pump that ensures a rapid and effective evacuation of the vehicle's air-conditioning system. All new units are equipped with a comprehensive vehicle database that holds all details on the oil and refrigerant quantities for the various air-conditioning systems. Finally, an integrated printer can be used to produce a detailed log of the air-conditioning service for the customer.
