press release

With its GSR and GSB 14,4-2-LI Professional models, Bosch is launching a cordless drill/driver and a cordless combi onto the market that are even lighter and more compact than their predecessors: they weigh only 1.2 and 1.3 kilograms respectively and are only 169 and 187 millimeters long including 10 millimeter Autolock chuck. They are therefore about 15 and 10 percent shorter than the previous models, succeeding them as the lightest and most compact tools in their class. The GSR and GSB 14,4-2-LI Professional make it even easier to work in tight spaces or overhead. The slim grip circumference of both models also contributes to this.

Two-speed planetary gearbox for powerful drilling and screwdriving
The GSR and GSB 14,4-2-LI Professional both have an optimized two-speed planetary gearbox with all-metal gears for powerful drilling and screwdriving. It is designed for speed ranges of 0 to 400 rpm in first gear and 0 to 1,300 rpm in second gear. The 10 millimeter Autolock chuck enables effortless drilling of holes up to 30 millimeters in wood and ten millimeters in metal. The maximum screw diameter is seven millimeters. The GSB 14,4-2-LI Professional also has an integrated impact drilling function to allow holes of up to ten millimeters to be drilled in masonry.

The features of the GSR 14,4-2-LI Professional make it especially suitable for joiners, electricians and plumbers. Typical joiner applications are mounting slide rails on drawers, fitting hinges for cabinet doors and drilling recesses using a holesaw accessory. The GSR 14,4-2-LI Professional enables electricians and plumbers to quickly and easily fit switches, sockets and light fixtures. The GSB 14,4-2-LI Professional is even more versatile thanks to its impact drilling function. Its range of applications also includes drilling holes for installing switches, sockets and light fixtures.

The tool's features are completed by a motor brake to assist with precise work when driving rows of screws, an integrated LED light to illuminate dark work areas and a belt clip that the professional tradesperson can comfortably hang the tool on.

The new generation GSR 14,4-2-LI Professional and GSB 14,4-2-LI Professional will be available at specialist retail outlets from May 2013 onwards in two versions:

  • in the L-Boxx with two 1.5 Ah batteries and a quick charger for 205 and 225 euros respectively,
  • in a carton with two 1.5 Ah batteries and a quick charger for 189 and 209 euros respectively.
All prices are excluding VAT.
