Do-it-yourselfers will be able to sand extremely effectively in future with the PRR 250 ES sanding roller from Bosch: the tool works with different changeable attachments instead of with a sanding pad. The flexibility of the attachments adapt to the shape of the workpiece and achieve a high removal rate on uneven or structured surfaces such as balusters, skirting boards or furniture with distinct contours. This saves you the hassle of having to re-sand by hand. With special attachments, such as a five or ten millimeter wide flap sanding wheel, it is also possible to machine-sand slots and grooves on garage doors or facings made of tongue and groove boards.

The PRR 250 ES sanding roller resembles a paint roller. A powerful motor drives the spindle on which the sanding wheels are mounted at 1,600 to 3,000 revolutions per minute. The speed can be continuously adjusted in this range, in order to adapt it to the workpiece material. The PRR 250 ES is especially suitable for sanding wood, but it can also be used to work on metal when the supplied dust extraction cover is used.

The right changeable attachment for every application
In addition to flap sanding wheels and sanding sleeves for working on flat surfaces, conical sanding sleeves including a matching shank, flexible sanding wheels and a ten millimeter wide brass brush are also available. The conical sanding sleeves are especially suitable for sanding fins, the flexible sanding wheels for working on profiled surfaces, and the brass brush for removing rust from metals such as bars. The SDS system enables fast, tool-free changing of the attachments: simply press the button at the end of the spindle, remove the attachment, insert the new attachment, and simply carry on working.

The sanding roller sits comfortably and securely in your hand thanks to its handle with hand guard, softgrip coverings and small circumference. The dust extraction cover prevents chips and sparks from flying around uncontrollably. It is equipped with a vacuum cleaner port. This enables you to work cleanly even when doing dusty projects.

The PRR 250 ES sanding roller will be available at retail outlets from July 2013 onwards at a recommended retail price of 139.99 euros including VAT. It is supplied in a carrying case with the dust extraction cover, a 60-millimeter sanding sleeve with a grit of 80, plus the matching shank and two flap sanding wheels with widths of ten and 60 millimeters.
