press release

The PSA 700 E saber saw from Bosch's DIY range is suitable for all cutting jobs that require speed without high precision. With its 700-watt motor, it has 40 percent more power than the PFZ 500 E power hand saw which it replaces. The application range of the PSA 700 E includes work such as cutting components to size for garden sheds and playground equipment or shortening pipes during renovation work. A wide variety of materials can be cut - from wood, to plastics, through to metal and composites.

Very easy to use due to SDS system and two-hand grip system
Saw blades are changed quickly and easily on the PSA 700 E thanks to the SDS system: the user ejects the current blade at the push of a button and then inserts the new one without the need for additional tools. All standard saber saw blades with an S-shank can be used. Bosch's range of accessories includes, for example, bi-metal saw blades. They are bendable, enabling you to also saw close to edges with the PSA 700 E. The two-hand grip system also makes the tool easier to operate: whilst one hand operates the accelerator switch on the main handle, the other hand supports the saber saw behind the hand guard on the saw shaft. Softgrip surfaces ensure secure, non-slip handling.

The PSA 700 E saber saw will be available at retail outlets from October 2012 onwards at the recommended retail price of 99.99 euros including VAT. It comes complete with the “Progressor for Wood” saw blade for cutting wood. This enables the user to begin sawing with the tool immediately after purchasing it.
