press release

The GLI PortaLED Professional from Bosch is unique because it is an L-Boxx and a jobsite light in one. The floodlight integrated into the lid is made up of 60 LEDs. These are considerably more robust and shock-resistant than other light sources: the GLI PortaLED Professional can withstand a load weight of up to 100 kilograms. With three brightness settings and four possible positioning angles – from closed L-Boxx, to two lockable settings, through to completely open L-Boxx – it always lights up the work area on the jobsite precisely as required.

The GLI PortaLED Professional weighs just less than 3.7 kilograms in the standard L-Boxx size 136 including 14.4 volt battery with 3.0 Ah, which is about 1.5 kilograms more than a normal L-Boxx. The tools required for work are transported in this box, so you have the light with you virtually all of the time and it is there when you need it. At the same time, professional tradespeople do not have to transport a conventional jobsite light, which is often heavier.

As with all L-Boxxes, the GLI PortaLED Professional can be stacked using a click system, and it has built-in design elements on the front to easily distinguish it from other boxes when several of them are stacked together. It can be powered by either a 14.4 or an 18 volt lithium-ion battery. Using a fully charged 18 volt battery with 3.0 Ah and the highest brightness setting, its floodlight lasts for about three hours. It can even be used during transport because the GLI PortaLED Professional is designed to close even with the battery inserted, which ensures that nothing is in the way. This enables professionals, for example, to safely find their way on poorly lit jobsites.
