| · Bosch Esitronic upgraded to include Sachs, Lemförder, Boge and ZF Parts brand information
· Parts catalog, installation and removal instructions for clutches, steering and chassis components and shock absorbers all included
· Esitronic customers free to use ZF Services information with no extra charge or activation process
Bosch Esitronic workshop software now ensures its customers have with even more helpful information at their fingertips. The comprehensive software has been upgraded to include parts information as well as installation and removal instructions for ZF Services brands: Shock absorbers and clutches are sold under the Sachs brand, Lemförder covers the suspension/steering and rubber-to-metal parts sectors, and Boge stands for shock absorbers, while steering gears and pumps are offered sold under the ZF Parts brand. Just as with the existing Esitronic information, the newly integrated information about ZF Services products covers practically the entire market. Some 60,000 automotive dealerships around the world subscribe to Bosch Esitronic – these will automatically receive the updated data and information package at no additional cost or need for prior activation with the quarterly workshop software updates.
Bosch Esitronic now also includes content from the "InCat" DVD, which is distributed by ZF Services. This is an electronic parts catalog that comes with photos, service documents and assembly instructions for ZF Services products. For example, once a vehicle has been selected in the Bosch workshop software, all the parts information and assembly instructions needed to install and remove shock absorbers are available. The appropriate work values are stored in Esitronic to allow calculations to be performed. Integration of ZF Services information in the Esitronic package forms just part of the global partnership between ZF Services and Bosch. This extensive partnership between the two companies started back in April 2009 when Bosch acquired the AutoCrew workshop concept from ZF Services.
Virtually Full Market Coverage for Passenger and Commercial Vehicles
In addition to information about virtually all types of passenger cars on the market, Esitronic users also have access to service information for all current trucks. The update due to take place in the third quarter of this year will initially enable Esitronic customers to access the parts catalog for Sachs, Lemförder, Boge and ZF Parts. The assembly instructions, including installation and removal, are then set to follow in the fourth quarter. The information is automatically merged into Esitronic during the update process and is immediately available to all Esitronic customers without the need to activate it.
The partnership between ZF Services and Bosch has also enjoyed a successful start in the sphere of training workshop staff. Since the start of 2010, Bosch and ZF Services have been offering training courses on the subjects of "Driveline for passenger cars and commercial vehicles," "Steering and chassis for passenger cars," "Vehicle mechanics" and "Vehicle analysis."
