Bosch is supplementing the "18V Power for All System" with the UniversalHammer 18V, a strong partner for any renovation project. The UniversalHammer 18V is the first cordless rotary hammer to feature a chiseling function from Bosch for DIYers and combines four applications in one tool: Hammer drilling, chiseling, drilling, and screwdriving. The "18V Power for All System" also covers all representative tools in each segment, currently comprises more than 40 DIY tools, gardening tools and household appliances, and even extends beyond the Bosch range with additional partners in the cross-brand ‘Power for All Alliance’. All tools – from rotary hammer to lawn mower and even vacuum cleaner – can be operated with the same 18V lithium-ion battery and only one charger. This saves users space and money and protects the environment.

Easy accessory changing between four applications

Drilling in concrete is possible with the UniversalHammer 18V, as is chiseling of cable ducts when kitchens or bathrooms have to be renovated. The cordless rotary hammer also makes it easy to remove plastering or tiles on walls or ceilings. Anyone who switches between different applications and therefore needs different drills or chisels will benefit from tool-free accessory changing: Thanks to the universal SDS plus chuck, this can be performed quickly and easily without the need for an additional tool.

High impact energy meets low vibrations

In addition to the different applications, the UniversalHammer 18V impresses with its high impact energy of 2.0 Joules. Its performance is therefore comparable to corded tools. The pneumatic hammer mechanism ensures rapid work progress and enables drilling in concrete with a drilling diameter of up to 16 millimeters. With the two-finger switch, users can adjust the speed to the current application and can always see the exact charge level thanks to the integrated battery status display. A LED light ensures clear vision at the work site even in poor visibility conditions. Thanks to its low weight, the tool lies comfortably in the hand during all activities. The decoupled handle reduces vibrations, thus enabling controlled and fatigue-free work. The integrated overload clutch protects both the user and the tool, for example if the drill gets jammed in reinforced concrete – by loosening the clutch and reducing the torque.

The UniversalHammer 18V is available now. All prices are recommended retail prices including VAT.
