Bosch is expanding the ‘36V Power for All System’ by including two more powerful garden tools: The cordless hedgecutter AdvancedHedgeCut 36V-65-28 cuts dense hedges and shrubs effortlessly into shape, the cordless grass trimmer AdvancedGrassCut 36V-33 clears overgrown grass and weeded areas powerfully. All tools of the system – from lawnmower to leaf blower – can be operated with one and the same 36V lithium-ion battery and charger. This saves users space and money and protects the environment. In addition, the cordless hedgecutter and grass trimmer always provide the optimum performance and maximum endurance for any project. The basis for this is an optimum coordination of key components such as the motor combined with an intelligent electronic control system called the ‘Syneon Technology’. Only Bosch offers this interaction between motor electronics and battery.

AdvancedHedgeCut 36V-65-28: Effortless cutting of dense hedges

The AdvancedHedgeCut 36V-65-28 offers a blade length of 65 cm and cuts through branches up to 28 mm thick thanks to Swiss precision blades. It cuts large and dense hedges into shape at 3,200 spm, which means it is as fast as its corded counterpart. The main advantage over comparable cordless hedgecutters in the DIY segment is its brushless motor which is compact, long-lasting, and maintenancefree. In addition, the cordless hedgecutter is considerably lighter than conventional petrol hedgecutters in its class: It weighs 4.2 kg including the 2.0 Ah battery. Per battery charge, it powerfully trims up to 260 square meters of hedge. In addition, its front handle allows different gripping and working positions so that large and dense hedges such as beech, yew and laurel hedges or blackthorn and hawthorn bushes can be trimmed into shape with minimum effort. Another significant advantage is the tried-and-tested Bosch Anti-Blocking system. It ensures that work progresses continuously and rapidly, even when tackling thicker branches: If the blades fail to cut through a thick or particularly hard branch at the first attempt, microelectronics control the motor to regulate the running direction of the blades so that they are repeatedly applied to the same point until the branch has been cut through. This feature is unique to Bosch.

AdvancedGrassCut 36V-33: Powerful trimming of overgrown grassed areas

The cordless grass trimmer AdvancedGrassCut 36V-33 reliably clears over-grown grass and weeded areas by means of a cutting line. It weighs only 4 kg including the 2.0 Ah battery and is therefore considerably lighter than conventional petrol grass trimmers intended for the same application. The AdvancedGrassCut 36V-33 is equipped with a brushless motor which is compact, long-lasting, and maintenance-free. It offers a cutting diameter of 33 cm and combines a powerful cut with an ergonomic design and an easy-to-use spool system. Its constant electronics automatically adjust the grass trimmer’s power to the task at hand to maintain its operating speed. Thanks to ‘Pro-Tap’, the 2.4 mm thick cutting line is released by approximately 10 mm each time it is tapped on the ground. When the line needs replenishing, the new ‘EasyWind’ line loading system makes it much faster and easier than before: When the line runs out, simply thread the line through the eyelets, make the line equal on both sides then turn the knob anti-clockwise until the spool is fully loaded. The plant protector keeps trees and plants at a safe distance during trimming, helping to achieve a precise work result. Thanks to speed control and a battery charge indicator, users always have full control over their tool during trimming.

The AdvancedGrassCut 36V-33 cordless grass trimmer will be available from May, the AdvancedHedgeCut 36V-65-28 cordless hedgecutter from June onwards. All stated prices are recommended retail prices including VAT.
