These three new tools make gardening even easier: Bosch expands the 18 V „Power for All“ battery system by the grass and shrub shear AdvancedShear 18V-10 as well as the hedge cutters UniversalHedgeCut 18V-50 and -55. The 18 V system from Bosch today already comprises around 40 DIY, garden, and home appliances – and even goes beyond the Bosch range thanks to the “Power for All Alliance”. All tools – from rotary hammer to lawn mower – can be operated with one and the same 18 V lithium-ion battery. Only one charger per volt class is required. This saves DIYers space and money and protects the environment. Another significant advantage of the new tools is the tried-and-tested Bosch Anti-Blocking system. It ensures that work progresses continuously and rapidly, even when tackling thicker branches: If the blades fail to cut through a thick or particularly hard branch at the first attempt, micro-electronics control the motor to regulate the running direction of the blades so that they are repeatedly applied to the same point until the branch has been cut through. This feature is unique to Bosch.

AdvancedShear 18V-10: Compact and precise for shrub and grass care

The AdvancedShear 18V-10 is the first grass and shrub shear in the 18 V battery system. It is designed for medium sized hedges and grass edges and can powerfully trim up to 85 square meters of hedge with just one battery charge at 2.0 Ah. Like the popular Isio, its attachments can be exchanged in seconds thanks to the multi-click system: Users simply press the two red buttons on the left and the right of the tool at the same time to release the current attachment, and the next attachment can be clicked into place straight away. In addition, the AdvancedShear 18V-10 operates with a dual-action blade like a hedge cutter – which makes it superior compared to common grass and shrub shears. Both Swiss precision blades move simultaneously and in opposite directions. This reduces vibrations and provides better cutting performance. Thanks to the three-stage LED display on top of the device, users can always see the battery charge status.

UniversalHedgeCut 18V-50 and -55: Powerful and long-lasting for hedge care

The UniversalHedgeCut 18V-50 and -55 are the first cordless hedge cutters in the DIY segment to have a brushless motor. This makes them particularly durable and more long-lasting than conventional hedge cutters. In addition, with 2,800 strokes per minute, they ensure fast work progress. The tools offer a blade length of 50 and 55 cm while they have a tooth opening of 20 and 22 mm and operate with Swiss precision blades. The tools are easy to work with due to their ergonomic design and low weight: The user can comfortably hold the multi-position handle which requires less force thanks to the improved trigger. This enables users to trim and shape conifer, privet, and laurel hedges comfortably and effortlessly. In addition, almost all tasks can be completed with just one battery charge thanks to the powerful 2.5 Ah battery with a runtime of up to 55 minutes. Users can always see the battery status thanks to the handy LED battery indicator on top of the tool.

The AdvancedShear 18V-10 is now available, the UniversalHedgeCut 18V-50 and UniversalHedgeCut 18V-55 will be from September. All prices are recommended retail prices including VAT.
