Fast, powerful, and nearly dustless: Bosch is now adding the first cordless concrete nailer to its Professional 18V System. The GNB 18V-38 Professional fastens drywall tracks in concrete or steel easily and in a single operation. This saves professionals both time and dust exposure, as without a concrete nailer, they would need to pre-drill the holes and then affix the tracks using anchors and screws. Unlike most tools on the market, the GNB 18V-38 Professional works without a gas cartridge, significantly lowering running costs, set-up time, and maintenance costs.

Efficient Biturbo tool with multi-brand batteries

The brushless Biturbo motor of the GNB 18V-38 Professional is designed to be robust and, in combination with the newly developed powerful air spring, fastens nails reliably in hard base materials. To work efficiently and with as little weight as possible, Bosch recommends using a ProCore18V battery with 4.0 Ah, which enables the GNB 18V-38 to fasten up to 500 nails on a single battery charge. The Professional 18V System covers all major 18V applications and even works with brands beyond Bosch, with additional partners in the multi-brand AmpShare battery alliance. Many brands. Many tools. One battery system: All tools ‒ from compact drill drivers to miter saws with up to 2,000W of equivalent corded power ‒ can run on the same 18V lithium-ion battery and charger, thus saving tradespeople time, space, and money.

Highly reliable and thoroughly certified

Together, the cordless concrete nailer GNB 18V-38 Professional and its galvanized and hardened nails – which are available in lengths of 16 to 38 millimeters for concrete and sand-lime brick and 13 to 19 millimeters for steel – form a perfectly matching system. Thanks to European ETA/CE and American ICC certifications, drywall professionals can rely on the declared load capacities and thus on achieving the expected nail performance. These certifications are important, for example, when it comes to bidding for public contracts. Very few manufacturers offer such extensive levels of certification. In addition to the tool, all Bosch nails are certified according to the ICC standard, and the ETA/CE certification applies to the three most common nail versions: concrete nails with lengths of 25, 32, and 38 millimeters. All nails are available in strips of ten, with 1,000 nails per pack.

High efficiency meets high user protection

The ease of use of the GNB 18V-38 Professional is designed to enhance productivity on the jobsite. To protect the user, the concrete nailer does not fire unless its nose is pressed firmly to the material’s surface and the trigger is pulled shortly thereafter. To set the next nail, the nose must be lifted briefly. The fastener depth can be adjusted easily. A built-in mechanism also ensures that the cordless concrete nailer will only work with a full magazine. It holds 22 nails and a longer magazine with 42 nails is optionally available. In case a nail jams – for example due to debris in the nose of the tool – the push out pin supplied with the tool makes it easy to remove.

No matter where the job happens to be, the nailer’s bright LED light illuminates the work area well. Users can check the control panel to keep track of the battery and tool status. The status display is color-coded to tell the user when which action is needed, giving users full control of their tool at all times.

The GNB 18V-38 Professional will be available starting in September. All prices are recommended retail prices and do not include VAT. Certified nails and additional accessories are available from the Bosch accessory range.
