Sawing with more ease, power, and precision: Bosch is now extending the ‘Professional 18V System’ for trade and industry with the compact and mobile Biturbo miter saw GCM 18V-216 DC Professional. It is comparable to a corded tool with 1,600 W and offers the highest number of cuts per battery charge in its class (using ‘Eco’ mode and a ProCore18V 8.0 Ah battery): Up to 267 cuts through 60 x 80 mm spruce squared timber are possible with a single battery charge. This is nearly 40 percent more than the best 36V competitor model and almost 90 percent more than the best 18V competitor model ‒ confirmed by an independent testing institute. Furthermore, the ‘Professional 18V System’ covers all other significant 18V applications that, thanks to cross-manufacturer compatibility, go even beyond Bosch. Many brands, many tools, one battery system: All tools ‒ from compact drill drivers to the new miter saw – can be operated with the same 18V lithium-ion battery and charger. Tradespeople therefore save time, space, and money.

Easier operation and higher flexibility thanks to the user interface, app and more

The GCM 18V-216 DC Professional is a compact tool designed for mobile use and offers tradespeople in interior fitting, such as joiners and floorers, high precision, flexibility, and a wide range of applications. The maximum cutting width is 312 mm while the maximum cutting height is 70 mm. The GCM 18V-216 DC Professional is also easier to operate than conventional miter saws, thanks to its user interface, the ability to pair the tool with a smartphone and to set and customize functions via the ToolBox app. In addition to easily adjusting the speed according to the material, such as wood, plastic and aluminum, users can also make use of the ‘Eco’ mode. This is especially recommended for lighter applications to save battery power and to master the whole workday with only one battery charge. Via the user interface, users can see the tool and battery status at a glance ‒ which displays as green, yellow or red based on the traffic-light system. Users enjoy additional flexibility thanks to the dual bevel function of up to 47 degrees left and right, large angle settings of 52 degrees left and 60 degrees right, and integrated side extensions for material support.

Precision tool with dual bevel function and cutting line indication by dual laser

The cutting line is displayed by means of a dual laser: The exact cutting line lies exactly in the middle between two projected laser lines. An LED light illuminates the work area. This distinguishes the GCM 18V-216 DC Professional from comparable competitor models. The ‘Expert for Wood’ saw blade with carbide technology included in the supply scope also contributes to the high precision of the saw: With 48 teeth, it guarantees top-quality results and maximizes the battery runtime of the saw. Thanks to the SDS saw blade lock, changing saw blades can be done conveniently and without any tools, unlike conventional miter saws in this class.

Two-point dust extraction protects health, the tool, and the surrounding

Thanks to the Bosch ‘Click & Clean’ system, tradespeople can work almost dust-free with the GCM 18V-216 DC Professional with just one click: By simply connecting the desired vacuum cleaner to the adapter, users can protect their health, the tool, and their surroundings. With the GCM 18V-216 DC Professional, the wood dust is extracted at two points simultaneously: above and behind the workpiece. This means that less material dust gets into the air and working environment, enabling more precise cuts. The time required for cleaning after work is also significantly reduced.

Bosch competence from A to Z

Bosch offers tradespeople who work with the GCM 18V-216 DC Professional a complete solution for the working environment: An efficient miter saw with Biturbo technology, further 18V tools from the ‘Professional 18V System’, the ‘Click & Clean’ dust extraction system, different GTA saw tables and various saw blades – all from a single source.

The GCM 18V-216 DC Professional is available from June. The prices are recommended retail prices excluding VAT.
