Bosch is making life easier for DIYers with two new powerful cordless saws featuring optimized handling and intelligent ergonomics. The UniversalCirc 18V-53 hand-held circular saw is particularly suitable for long, precise cuts. The UniversalCut 18V-65 ‘NanoBlade’ saw is engineered to make short free-hand and plunge cuts fast and effortless. Both saws are part of the ‘18V Power for All System’, which currently comprises about 60 DIY tools, gardening tools, and home appliances. It also covers all representative tools in each segment, and even extends beyond the Bosch range with additional partners in the cross-brand ‘Power for All Alliance’. All tools – from rotary hammer to lawn mower and even vacuum cleaner – can be operated with the same 18V lithium-ion battery and only one charger. This saves users space and money, and also protects the environment.

UniversalCirc 18V-53: precise guidance for long cuts

Thanks to its deeper cutting depth of 53 mm compared to earlier models, such as the PKS 18 LI, the UniversalCirc 18V-53 cordless hand-held circular saw can be used for virtually any DIY job. Whether it is shortening slats, cutting countertops to length, or sawing through deck planks, the high-quality ‘Optiline’ wood saw blade – coupled with the stable steel base plate and aluminum protective guard – ensures smooth cutting progress with constant clean edges. The CutControl attachment, which comes standard, folds out to the front, and makes it possible to guide the saw precisely along the marked cutting lines. What is more, the cordless hand-held circular saw is compatible with the guide rail system from Bosch Home & Garden, so DIYers can precisely trace cutting lines. Large levers make operating the UniversalCirc 18V-53 particularly convenient. To ensure cleanliness, the cordless hand-held circular saw features a robust aluminum protective guard for optimum shaving disposal. Attaching an external dust extractor enables more than 90 percent of shavings to be captured.

UniversalCut 18V-65: fast and flexible cuts

The new UniversalCut 18V-65 is ideal for short free-hand and plunge cuts. The ‘NanoBlade’ saw with a cutting depth of 65 mm is convenient and easy to use. Thanks to improved ergonomics, users can keep both their hands on the tool during challenging tasks and maintain greater control. The low vibration ‘NanoBlade’ technology delivers a safe feeling in a wide range of applications, from making short correction cuts and sawing out notches to shortening cable ducts or trimming small branches. The switch on the handle allows users to flexibly adjust the saw speed during use. Thanks to the SDS system, the saw blade can quickly be replaced without using any additional tools.

The UniversalCirc 18V-53 cordless hand-held circular saw and the UniversalCut 18V-65 cordless ‘NanoBlade’ saw are available now. All stated prices are recommended retail prices including VAT. Accessories such as saw blades are available in the Bosch range of accessories.
