Inverter with 800-volt technology goes into series production

The 800-volt version of the inverter uses silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors, which increase efficiency and range. In addition, 50 percent less energy is lost in the power electronics in form of heat and the efficiency of the inverter increases to up to 99%.
