A cool breeze makes DIY work and leisure activities much easier, and not just at the height of summer. The new UniversalFan 18V-1000 delivers the required cooling effect to users wherever they actually need it. The first cordless fan from Bosch for DIYers offers a wide range of possible applications at home and in the garden. It can also be used flexibly when people are out and about. The UniversalFan 18V-1000 extends the ‘18V Power for All System’. The ‘18V Power for All System’ also covers all representative tools in each segment, currently comprises around 60 DIY tools, gardening tools and household appliances, and even extends beyond the Bosch range with additional partners in the cross-brand ‘Power for All Alliance’. All tools – from rotary hammers and lawn mowers through to vacuum cleaners – can be operated with the same 18V lithium-ion battery and only one charger. This saves users space and money, and also protects the environment.

High efficiency and a wide range of uses

With five rotor blades, the UniversalFan 18V-1000 moves a greater volume of air at the same speed than the more common three-blade fans. Bosch's own ‘JetBreeze Airflow Technology’ ensures quiet operation with the same maximum output of 1,000 cubic meters of air per hour. With its concentrated air flow, the battery-operated fan provides a pleasant cooling effect – in any position – even at low speeds at distances of more than five meters. The UniversalFan 18V-1000 has extendable hooks which enables it to be hung on a ladder for example. Alternatively, the fan can be clamped transversely to a plank, affixed to a tripod, or fixed with the integrated keyhole hanger. Developed specially to meet the needs of DIYers, the fan can also be used reliably in challenging situations thanks to its robust construction and compact design. This is also ensured by the 180-degree swiveling fan head with which users can flexibly direct the air flow in any desired direction and adjust it continuously by means of control knobs.

Constant performance for all applications

The UniversalFan 18V-1000 is suitable not only for cooling, but also for drying wet plaster or fresh paint. The cordless fan also provides relief in many leisure time activities: The UniversalFan 18V-1000 reliably creates a fresh breeze on a balcony, in a garden, during a picnic or when camping. The tool produces a constant flow of air without the user having to interrupt their activity and manually readjust the fan speed. This is based on the intelligent control electronics called ‘Syneon Technology’. Only Bosch offers this interaction between the motor electronics and the battery. The technology supplies the cordless fan with a constant output irrespective of the charging level of the 18V battery.

Cordless fan with a sustainable product concept

The UniversalFan 18V-1000 is produced in the European Union. More than 90 percent of the product housing, i.e., all externally visible parts of the tool without the battery, is made from recycled plastic. Bosch is systematically working to improve the sustainability of the entire value-added chain. A special team was created for this purpose. It continuously examines and implements suitable measures throughout the world, for example regarding the use of recycled materials in packaging and power tools. The main objectives are to reduce the CO2 footprint of products in the long term and to promote a circular economy.

The UniversalFan 18V-1000 is available now. All prices are recommended retail prices including VAT.
