Added value thanks to high protection for users and their health – Bosch offers tradespeople an extensive system for efficient and healthy working. The prod-uct range for virtually dustless drilling is now being extended for the first time by a cordless dust extraction with its own power supply: the GDE 18V-26 D Pro-fessional. It fits onto the five most common Bosch hammers in the 2-kilogram class and provides reliable protection for tradespeople against dust when they are drilling on scaffolding and lifting platforms or in places that are difficult to access. The dust extraction is also highly suitable for professionals who often move from one construction site to another: These professionals do not need an additional dust extractor anymore. Four dust eyes are also supplied for dif-ferent applications: Two for smaller drilling diameters from 4 to 16 millimeters and two for larger drilling diameters up to 26 millimeters, each time for tools with a fixed chuck or a quick change chuck. If required, an extension can also be attached so that drills up to 265 millimeters in length can be used. The GDE 18V-26 D Professional therefore covers the widest range of applications in terms of drilling diameter, drilling depth and drilling length compared to current competitor models.

Short set-up time ‒ simply proceed as follows

Rotary hammers such as the best-selling GBH 2-26 F Professional with a pistol grip handle can be tooled up quickly and easily: Place the dust extraction on a suitable surface, insert the supplied stabilizing bracket into the intended openings and then push in the rotary hammer like a battery into the guide rails of the dust extraction until it engages. You need only now tighten the auxiliary handle – and the GDE 18V-26 D Professional is ready to use. The dust extraction is started by pressing the on/off switch and can remain on the tool for further use. It can easily be detached at the push of a button. Tradespeople can always see the tool status in a 5-stage charge status display and an inspection window in the dust box. The box collects drilling dust from up to 20 holes with a diameter of 12 millimeters and a depth of 50 millimeters, and is emptied in just a few simple steps. The HEPA filter is simply tapped out for cleaning.

Efficiency confirmed by an independent test institute

Bosch provides versatile solutions for healthier work. Tradespeople can, for example, rest assured that the dust pollution remains below the permissible limit values when they are using the GBH 18V-26 Professional rotary hammer in combination with the GDE 16 Plus Professional dust extraction and the GAS 18V-10 L Professional cordless extractor during continuous drilling in concrete. This was confirmed by the Institute for Occupational Health and Safety of the German Statutory Accident Insurance Organization (IFA) in independent tests. Drilling dust and debris are extracted where they arise. The result is health¬ier, more tool-friendly and more efficient work ‒ aspects which are increasingly important for tradespeople, safety engineers and associations.

Even better wet/dry extractor due to user feedback

In addition to dust extractors for drilling and chiseling, the system also includes extraction guards for angle grinders and a large number of wet/dry extractors. Based on user feedback Bosch makes tools like the popular GAS 18V-10 L Professional even better: Thanks to the shoulder strap and replaceable rollers, the 18-volt extractor can be used even more conveniently and flexibly. It can also be connected to tools even faster and easier with the new adapter.

Both tools, the GDE 18V-26 D Professional dust extraction as well as the GAS 18V-10 L Professional extractor, are powered by high-performance 18-volt batteries. No matter which battery you use: With the Professional 18 Volt System, Bosch ensures compatibility with new and existing power tools and chargers in this voltage class. Bosch recommends the compact, light, high-performance ProCore18V battery with 4.0 Ah for the GDE 18V-26 D Professional and the ProCore18V with 8.0 Ah for the GAS 18V-10 L Professional.

The optimized GAS 18V-10 L Professional cordless extractor is available right now, the GDE 18V-26 Professional cordless dust extraction from May 2020 onwards. The prices are recommended retail prices excluding VAT.
