The Ixo has hit the mark in terms of style – it has spruced itself up for its anniversary in a limited special edition as Ixo Gold&Black. With its elegant black design, decorative gold line and fabric label, which also shines golden for the special occasion, the Ixo is underlining its unique status once more: It is the world’s most popular power tool − with cult status among do-it-yourselfers. It has been enriching homes with its versatility for 15 years: Driving screws around corners, opening wine bottles, seasoning dishes, firing up the coal on a barbecue, cutting various materials and even trimming grass and shrubs – the little everyday helper can do all that and more with the nine Ixo Collection adapters. The Ixo Gold&Black with its new design is now more stylish than ever while screwing.

Small cordless screwdriver – big anniversary: cult status for 15 years
Small, light, convenient – there is no need to be big to revolutionize the do-it-yourselfer market. The Ixo does an impressive job of proving this. Since its launch in 2003, Bosch has been consistently developing the cordless screwdriver from Ixo I to Ixo V, continuously expanding the Ixo Collection with unique adapters. With these developments, Ixo has repeatedly had its finger on the pulse of the times: So far, more than 17 million units have been sold. The cult status among do-it-yourselfers is owed to its handy ever-ready feature combined with its small size, convenient design and intuitive operating concept. The Ixo Gold&Black pays tribute to the Ixo V and brings creative ideas to light: The “Power¬Light”, an LED light on the screwdriver’s head, lights up the work area either as a spotlight or stray light. The Ixo has also repeatedly shaken things up with its special designs: In the Ixo Gold&Black, as with the 2010 Ixo Swarovski, when the little helper in a crystal-studded housing stylishly finished applications in home and garden. Slotted, cross-headed and Torx – in letters I-X-O – with a name inspired by these three screw types, the Ixo set out to conquer the world 15 years ago – today it celebrates its success in a black and gold gala design.

The Ixo Gold&Black will be available from April 2018. In its anniversary edition, the cordless screwdriver is presented in a soft, black, high-grade bag with a gold zipper. It also features a two-part Micro USB charger for more flexible applications and ten screwdriver bits, also in gold as it befits the occasion. The Bosch range of accessories is also undergoing a gold rush, sharing in the anniversary with a matching special edition of the 27-piece bit and ratchet set.
