Karlsruhe, Germany – Modern industrial processes require precise and reliable gas analysis. With its new BOGS device, Bosch now offers an innovative gas analyzer based on Raman spectroscopy. This spectroscopy method analyzes the scattering of light by molecules to identify their unique “fingerprints” and thus obtain information about their composition.

Bosch has refined the technology and strengthened Raman signal detection by a factor of around one hundred. The BOGS achieves an accuracy of 0.1% by volume within a few seconds; with longer measuring times, it can even detect concentrations of as little as 0.01% by volume. The device requires neither carrier gases nor complex sample extractions and can be operated inline at temperatures of up to 35°C (and up to 40°C depending on the conditions) and at pressures of up to 40 bar.

Benefits of the BOGS at a glance

The Bosch OGS has a wide range of applications, from the hydrogen and natural gas industry to research and development. It offers user-friendly installation, calibration, and data analysis as well as an integrated database for Raman spectra. And with its compact 19-inch housing, the BOGS is also mobile and flexible to use.

The BOGS is now available for order and delivery.
