Bosch is tapping further growth potential in electromobility. Since the end of 2021, the supplier of technology and services has been manufacturing power semiconductors made of silicon carbide, which can extend the range of electric vehicles by up to 6 percent. Bosch has also entered the factory equipment business for battery production. Together with Volkswagen, Bosch is looking into jointly making battery cell production processes ready for volume production. By commercializing the stationary solid-oxide fuel cell (SOFC), Bosch is playing a role in the move to alternative energy.
