Karlsruhe, Germany – Bosch has greatly expanded its range of belt tensioners, idler pulleys, and ribbed V-belt kits for accessory drives. With over 200 new individual components and 40 new ribbed V-belt kits, Bosch now offers a very high level of market coverage for the European vehicle fleet. This extension of the range means workshops can obtain the required parts quickly and easily from a single source.

The accessory drive is becoming increasingly important in modern vehicles, since it drives a number of accessory units such as the coolant pump, servo pump, and air-conditioning compressor. Given that all components of the accessory drive are exposed to the same loads, they should ideally be replaced at the same time. Bosch simplifies this process by providing the right portfolio. Workshops can rely on the quality they expect from Bosch in terms of precise fit and long service life. Bosch’s Esitronic software offers workshops additional support by providing detailed repair instructions and service information.

This latest extension of the Bosch range lets customers order not only ribbed V-belt but also the necessary metal components – all from a single source. – This speeds up the ordering process.

Solutions for hybrid vehicles

Bosch also offers belt tensioners for hybrid applications. These are able to compensate for fluctuations in torque between the gasoline engine and the electric motor, thereby ensuring consistent belt tension.

With this expansion, Bosch completes its range of spare parts in the field of powertrain technology, offering workshops and wholesalers a comprehensive solution for accessory drive.
