According to preliminary figures, Bosch once again generated record sales of 77.9 billion euros in 2018. In Europe, sales increased 2.1 percent (3.7 percent after adjusting for exchange-rate effects) to 41 billion euros. Sales in North America rose 2.8 percent to 12.3 billion euros. Adjusted for exchange-rate effects, that figure is 7.9 percent. In South America, sales amounted to 1.4 billion euros, a nominal decline of 7.8 percent. Adjusted for exchange-rate effects, this equates to an increase of 8.9 percent. Asia Pacific and other regions recorded sales of 23.2 billion euros. This equates to a nominal year-on-year increase of 0.4 percent, or 3.1 percent after adjusting for exchange-rate effects.
