Lightweight, compact, durable and very easy to operate – the brand new EasyImpact 12 from Bosch. The 12 V cordless combi drill features an intuitive operating concept: With just one click DIY enthusiasts can now electronically change their screwdriver’s rotation direction – both on the right and left-hand side of the tool. The selected setting can simply be viewed from green LED arrows on the back of the tool. The forward arrow indicates right rotation, the backward arrow left rotation. If the tool goes unused for a time period of 60 seconds, it automatically switches back to right rotation direction and thus to the main application. In addition, the EasyImpact 12 automatically switches to the correct gear for the mode selected using its one ring setup: Screwdriving, drilling or impact drilling. The mode is displayed via an self-explanatory symbol on the back of the tool. For example, a screwdriver is displayed as soon as the speed is selected by using the minimum-to-maximum scale. If you turn the ring to drilling or impact drilling, the tool will automatically select the second gear and the drill symbol will appear in the display. No other tool settings are necessary. This minimizes application errors and makes work easy.

The first Bosch 12 V screwdriver in the range with a brushless motor

The EasyImpact 12 stands out compared to its predecessors thanks to its shorter head. It’s more compact, better balanced and therefore more ergonomic too. It’s the brushless motor that makes all this possible. The EasyImpact 12 is the first 12 V screwdriver made by Bosch for DIY enthusiasts to feature this technology, making the EasyImpact 12 particularly long-lasting and maintenance-free. The cordless combi drill works with screws of up to six millimeters in size, drills holes of up to 20 millimeters diameter in wood, and up to six millimeters in masonry. Weighing just one kilogram, it easily screws furniture and shelves together or attaches pictures, mirrors and coat hooks to the wall. Even hard-to-reach areas are easy to access. The EasyImpact 12 also provides just the right amount of energy that is required for each application. This is made possible by the optimum coordination of key components such as the motor and the gearbox, combined with an intelligent electronic system, the “Syneon Chip”. The combi drill therefore holds its full power until the battery is empty ‒ right up to the last second of driving screws, drilling or impact drilling.

A smart combination: “Power for All” from Bosch

The EasyImpact 12 is part of the “Power for All” battery system, which comprises DIY and garden tools. The same 12 volt lithium-ion battery can currently be used to operate 14 different power tools, from multi-saws to hedge cutters. This enables do-it-yourselfers to do without batteries and chargers that they do not need, and they can save money at the same time. A “Power for All” logo on the packaging indicates which tools belong to the system.

The EasyImpact 12 is available from April 2019. All prices are recommended retail prices including VAT.
