press release

Stuttgart/Reutlingen – On 16 and 17 January 2016 the focus at the special exhibition on Cycling & Adventure Holidays with Hiking at the CMT in Stuttgart will be on new holiday destinations and innovative travel equipment for bicycles, eBikes and touring. Around 200 exhibitors are expected at the outdoor trade fair, including Bosch eBike Systems. The European market leader in eBike drive systems will be there to tell visitors at Stand 9E11 in Hall 9 all about its product innovations for 2016 and the all-in-one eBike on-board computer Nyon. Visitors can try out a selection of pedelecs on a test track, with trained specialists at the Bosch stand ready to answer questions.

Everything the eBiker’s heart could desire
The German two-wheeler industry association ZIV anticipates continued growth of the eBike market in Germany. Its forecast is that eBikes will account for about 15% of two-wheelers in the near future and the CMT has taken this into account. Bicycle and eBike manufacturers will inform visitors about trends and feature innovations on a 10,000 square metre (two and a half acre) exhibition site. Bosch eBike Systems will be represented at the CMT for the third time. “In everyday life and in their leisure time more and more people have come to appreciate the benefits of an electric power boost. They include cycling tours and eBiking on holiday. At the CMT we aim to tell people what solutions Bosch has on offer for eBike fans and those who might be toying with the idea,” says Tamara Winograd, Head of Marketing and Communication at Bosch eBike Systems.

Firm focus on eBikers
The main focus at the Bosch eBike Systems stand is on the coming season’s product innovations – such as the Performance Line CX, specially designed for eMountain bikers with a maximum power assistance of up to 300%. There will also be an opportunity to try out Nyon, the first all-in-one on-board computer for eBikes. A system with which Bosch is setting standards and paving the way for the connected eBike world. A wide range of eBikes provided by different manufacturers will be available to test-ride on a special circuit in Hall 9.
