press release

Bosch can now offer professionals a new cordless drill/driver with even more power, better ergonomics and higher flexibility: the GSR 18-2-LI Plus Professional. New features include the 13 millimeter Auto-Lock chuck, making the tool suitable for an even wider range of applications. At the same time, a higher performance motor provides even more torque. The GSR 18-2-LI Plus Professional is considerably more powerful and efficient than its predecessor, providing users with 63 Newtonmeters for hard screwdriving applications and 24 Newtonmeters for soft screwdriving applications. The maximum drilling diameter has also been increased: to 38 millimeters in wood and to 13 millimeters in steel. The maximum screw diameter in wood is now eight millimeters. The GSR 18-2-LI Plus Professional therefore offers finishing trades such as carpenters and joiners, but also electricians and fitters, a powerful and versatile tool for challenging drilling and screwdriving applications.

Better grip and long life
The GSR 18-2-LI Plus Professional is the first tool in its class to feature an anatomically shaped Softgrip handle with a grooved (not pimpled) texture. As a result, it conveys a more secure and comfortable feel, particularly during overhead use or during use in narrow and hard-to-reach areas. In addition, the screwdriver is well-balanced and very light: it weighs only 1.5 kilograms including the 2.0 Ah battery. Thanks to its low weight and improved grip, the GSR 18-2-LI Plus Professional is ideal for serial applications on construction sites, in workshops and in industrial production.

The GSR 18-2-LI Plus Professional is the first tool of the Bosch “lightseries” – a series of ultra-lightweight, all-purpose tools featuring Electronic Motor Protection (EMP). If the tool overheats, EMP shuts off the motor automatically and thus ensures long life. The drill/driver also features an LED light and a belt clip.

The Bosch GSR 18-2-LI Plus Professional is available at specialist retail outlets at a recommended retail price of 239 euro plus VAT. It is supplied in an L-Boxx, including two 2.0 Ah batteries and a high speed charger.
