press release

Stuttgart/Reutlingen – Bosch eBike Systems ended the 2015 training season with a new record. Between mid-October 2014 and April 2015 over 8,500 people with an interest in eBikes attended seminars that the company held for dealers. That was a new record for attendees. In all, over 160 training courses were held in 50 cities and 12 European countries. The courses are very popular with dealers, as evidenced by the industry ranking in the trade journal SAZbike in which Bosch eBike Systems came first by a clear margin.

Relationship of trust with retailers strengthened
Courses are held by one of the seven Bosch eBike Systems technical experts. They all have many years of industry experience and soundly based expertise. They are also available to answer attendees’ questions beyond the scope of the training session. Ulrich Lippmann, Service Manager at Bosch eBike Systems, sees the trust between company and dealers that has been consolidated over the years as a win for both sides. “For us the training tour is an important building block in our relationship with dealers. The direct feedback is very valuable and can help us to make further improvements to our products and services. Our training courses are a great help for the dealers too because they reduce servicing input in the workshop significantly, leading to a genuine time saving.”

Training focus on Nyon on-board computer
Courses, designed to take eight hours, are held between autumn and spring to prepare dealers for the new season. In the season just ended the main focus was on the all-in-one Nyon on-board computer. Along with the Intuvia on-board computer it is seen as a competition benchmark for displays, so demand for information about the wide range of Nyon functions and uses was correspondingly strong.

The industry rating in the trade journal SAZbike is good news for the Bosch eBike Systems technical experts. In a poll of German dealers the European market leader’s training tour came first by a clear margin. Ulrich Lippmann and his team were therefore able to defend and reaffirm their previous year’s pole position.
