press release

Stuttgart/Reutlingen – On 21 and 22 March it will be “On your bike!” again in the German capital. At VELOBerlin it will be about cycling trends and urban mobility. Bosch eBike Systems, the European market leader in eBike drive systems, is presenting in Hall 17 at Stand 402 the right product portfolio for mobile city dwellers and enthusiastic eBikers. A focal point will be Nyon, the first all-in-one on-board eBike computer and the key to the online world for the modern eBiker.

Route plans and training data from the on-board computer
eBikes will be a highlight of VELOBerlin. More and more people are coming to realise that by pedalling with electrical assistance you can reach your destination easily and discover targets that would otherwise require strenuous effort or be impossible to reach. Everyday cyclists can benefit from the Bosch on-board computer Nyon while touring just like cycle tourists and mountain bikers can. “Nyon provides numerous functions that help eBikers to find the right route, record their training data and ply them with news flashes at the handlebars,” says Tamara Winograd, Press spokeswoman for Bosch eBike Systems. “Nyon is more than an eBike control system. The all-in-one on-board computer delivers many advantages and can be connected to relay data to smartphones and computers.” At VELOBerlin visitors will be able to put Nyon through its paces on the test track on eBikes made by different manufacturers.

Wide range of test opportunities and an interactive Bosch stand
For test rides VELOBerlin has a large test track with open-air facilities in the Funkturm TV tower’s inner courtyard. The choice of eBikes ranges from comfortable to sporting. Bosch eBike Systems offers a convenient solution for comfort-oriented eBikers: eShift. This innovative gearshift concept integrates the shift function in the eBike system, thereby ensuring extra safety and comfort while eBikers can concentrate entirely on their eBiking.

Detailed information about eBike components and expert advice are available at the Bosch eBike Systems stand, which combines a modern, clearly arranged look with interactive elements. Visitors will also be able to test ride Nyon there on a model set of handlebars or to influence the course and outcome of an eMTB race in the interactive “Uphill Flow” video.
