press release

Bosch is expanding its 10.8 volt “Power4All” cordless system to include a powerful mini hand-held circular saw, the PKS 10,8 LI. It works as precisely as a normal circular saw, but is smaller, lighter and more compact. It is therefore easy and comfortable to use – even for do-it-yourselfers who have little experience in using hand-held circular saws. The second handle, which enables controlled guidance of the tool, also contributes to this ease of use. This makes the PKS 10,8 LI a handy tool for all sawing applications.

Precise cuts up to 26 millimeters
The PKS 10,8 LI uses an 85 millimeter saw blade and cuts wood and composite wood materials up to a cutting depth of 26 millimeters. The cutting depth can be set with millimeter accuracy. This enables all applications otherwise common for jigsaws, such as cutting laminate, chipboard and paneling to size, to be performed with higher precision. Anyone wishing to work with exceptional accuracy can use the parallel guide that comes complete with the tool and enables good guidance along the workpiece. Miter cuts are also possible. The maximum miter angle is 45 degrees, and the cutting depth is then 17 millimeters. Whether you want to cut individual parts for a home-made cabinet, parquet or other floor coverings: thanks to its softgrip on both handles and a low weight of only 1.4 kilograms, the PKS 10,8 LI always sits securely and comfortably in the hand. The speed of 1,400 revolutions per minute ensures a fast work rate.

The 2.0 Ah battery that comes complete with the tool provides enough capacity to saw, for example, up to 13 meters of 18-millimeter-thick MDF boards. The tool’s features are completed by an LED light which provides optimum illumination of the cutting line, and a dust extraction adapter where a vacuum cleaner can be
connected to.

Combining with a system: “Power4All” from Bosch
The PKS 10,8 LI is part of the “Power4All” cordless system which comprises DIY and garden tools. With this system, Bosch offers a powerful, flexible solution for common applications in the house and garden. The same 10.8 volt lithium-ion battery can be used to operate a current total of nine power tools – from cordless drill driver to hedgecutter. This enables do-it-yourselfers to do without batteries and chargers that they do not need, thus saving money. A “Power4All” logo on the packaging indicates which tools belong to the system.

The PKS 10,8 LI will be available from November 2016 onwards in the following versions:
  • in a carton with a 2.0 Ah battery and charger for 149.99 euros,
  • in a carton without battery and charger for 99.99 euros.
Each version comes complete with the parallel guide and the dust extraction
adapter. All prices are recommended retail prices including VAT. The circular
saw blades are available in the Bosch accessory range.
