The random orbit sanders 7445 and 7455 by Skil are designed for comfortable, low-dust sanding. Thanks to the unique "Dust Level Indicator", the user always knows when to empty the dust box. This key feature ensures that the tool has maximum dust suction power, enabling the user to work in a low-dust environment. The basic principle is simple: during the sanding process, air and dust flow into the dust box. The dust stays behind in the filter and the air flows out again through the outlet in the “Dust Level Indicator”. When the dust box is saturated, airflow is obstructed and the “Dust Level Indicator” closes. This enables the user to see at a glance when it is time to empty the dust box. If the user wishes to go one step further in terms of a dust-free working environment, a vacuum cleaner can be connected the integrated vacuum cleaner connection.

Powerful tools that are gentle to materials and are easy to use
Both random orbit sanders are equipped with a 430 watt motor, offering high performance for fast material removal. Double-encapsulated ball bearings protect the tools against the ingress of dust and ensure a long lifetime. Another advantage of the random orbit sanders is that they are easy to operate. For example, the integrated brake function prevents damaging the surface, which might occur when putting the tool on or off the working surface. An additional advantage of model 7455 is that the speed can be adjusted to suit the materials that need to be sanded. This feature is useful for sanding lacquered surfaces: selecting a lower speed prevents the lacquer from becoming too hot when sanding. This could lead to smearing of the lacquer and clogging the sanding paper. Thanks to the Softgrip, this model adapts even better to the contours of the hand. Both tools can be comfortably guided with one and two hands. Your sanding paper adheres well to the sanding base thanks to the Velcro system, but can easily be removed and reattached. The result: fast and easy sanding paper replacement.
