press release

Stuttgart/Reutlingen -FietsVAK, one of the most important cycle trade fairs in the Benelux states, is taking place at the Haarlemmermeer exhibition centre in Vijfhuizen, near Amsterdam, from 28 February to 2 March 2015. FietsVAK is of interest for both the bicycle trade and consumers. The first two days are aimed at consumers as National (e)Bike Testing Days and the trade gets together on the third day. The winners of the eBike of the Year award, for which manufacturers who use Bosch eBike Systems drive systems have been nominated in different categories, will also be announced.

Nyon: Hands-on, please!
As the European eBike drive systems market leader and the industry's innovation driver, Bosch eBike Systems is ready to inform visitors about its latest product lines at Stand 333. A special focus is on Nyon, the first all-in-one on-board computer for eBikes. A hands-on approach is more than welcome here because, along with a show bike, there will be handlebars with a built-in on-board computer on which to try the computer out. Trained staff will be there to demonstrate to visitors the wide range of Nyon functions, from analysis of fitness data via route planning to connection with the online world.

Award nominations for brands with Bosch drive systems
The winners of the FietsVAK Awards will be announced on Day 1. Three bikes with Bosch eBike Systems drive systems are among those that have been nominated. Bosch is represented in the eBike of the Year category by the Cannondale Contro-E Headshok and the Koga E-Lement. In the Speed eBike of the Year category, the Riese & Müller BlueLABEL Charger Beltdrive is another bike with a Bosch drive system that is among the nominees.

Action on film and on the test circuit
Bosch eBike Systems is represented at FietsVAK with a modern stand and interactive elements for visitors such as the eMTB video Uphill Flow. Video viewers can influence the course of the film directly and must take two eBike teams to the finishing line with skill and strategy. In the video, the focus is on action and the sporting aspects of e-mountain biking, whereas eShift, the electronic integrated gearshift solution, focuses entirely on comfort and safety.

After their “theory training,” visitors can test ride the pedelecs themselves on a lap or two of the 1.5 kilometre, partly covered circuit outside the exhibition hall. In addition, a large number of workshops will be held to inform the trade about the latest trends and developments in the eBike market.

FietsVAK takes place from 28 February to 2 March 2015 at the Haarlemmermeer exhibition centre. For further information visit www.fietsvak.nl and www.nationaleebiketestdagen.nl.
