press release

Stuttgart/Reutlingen – The Bosch eBike Systems training tour for European cycle dealers gets under way on 13 October 2014 in Hamburg.
The eBike road show consists of more than 100 courses in ten countries and gives dealers an exclusive insight into the new product lines Nyon and eShift. “Overall, we will be training several thousand participants and prepare them extensively for the new season,” says Ulrich Lippmann, Service Manager, Bosch eBike Systems.

Training focuses this season on Nyon, the world’s first all-in-one eBike on-board computer. Combined with the eBike Connect smartphone app and the online portal, Nyon becomes the eBiker’s personal route planner and training partner, connecting him or her with the digital world. This new, connected eBike world offers the user a wide range of functions and options. That is why Bosch eBike Systems is training dealers intensively on Nyon-relevant topics of all kinds. “We thereby ensure competent customer advice and comprehensive service provision,” Lippmann says. In addition, Web-based Nyon training is now available for the first time in the news section of the dealer portal

Another focal point of this season’s training courses for dealers is eShift, the integration of three gear shift options with the Bosch drive system. To provide for both first-time and as a refresher for past participants and to inform dealers in detail about service and maintenance issues, the course also includes an overview of the current product lines Active Line and Performance Line and their new features.

With the internationalisation of Bosch eBike Systems training courses for dealers are being expanded and seminars are for the first time being held in ten countries and six languages (German, English, French, Dutch, Spanish and Italian).

The Bosch eBike Systems training course tour begins on 13 October 2014 in Hamburg, with the last courses scheduled for March 2015. Applications via service partners’ Web shops only, please; follow the link on the dealer portal at

Expansion of service capacities
Bosch eBike Systems is steadily increasing its presence in European markets and that is why it is increasing significantly the number of its technical representatives. The team supports dealers on the spot and is to be increased in number from seven to twelve. In addition to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux and Italy, France and the UK will now also be served by technical representatives. As a result, at least one technical representative will be available in each core European market, and enquiries will be handled even faster now that an additional Bosch call centre has been set up for France, Italy and the UK.

Cooperation with Magura is also being expanded. The service partner is hiring additional service staff to further upgrade its language capacities outside of the German-speaking countries. At the same time the capacity of the joint Magura and Bosch eBike Systems service hotline is to be doubled by the beginning of 2015. Magura is also enlarging its logistics facilities significantly to supply dealers with the material and components they need even faster and more flexibly.
