Bosch eBike Systems: Magura named as new service partner for Benelux Resources bundled to optimise service

Stuttgart/Reutlingen – Bosch eBike Systems is collaborating with Magura as its service partner in Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) from 1 November 2014 and ending its existing service cooperation with Shimano Benelux BV. In the future, Magura will handle all service issues directly, including the next round of training courses for dealers in Benelux.

Magura cooperation for a long-term improvement in service conditions
“By extending our service partnership with Magura to Benelux we can bundle resources and use our know-how to ensure optimal long-term service conditions for the retail trade in Europe. That includes both simplified spare parts procurement processes and improved service management, including repairs and the hotline,” says Armin Harttig, Head of Sales and Service at Bosch eBike Systems. In Switzerland, cooperation with Fuchs Movesa continues unchanged.

Service cooperation with Shimano Benelux BV ends by mutual agreement on 30 November 2014. To ensure a smooth transition, Bosch and Magura are in the process of setting up teams of Dutch- and French-speaking employees. Dealers can book training courses via Magura as of now.

Additional general measures are an upgrading of the service hotline, with its capacity to be doubled by the beginning of 2015, and the bundling and expansion of logistics, with additional staff to be hired to ensure that consignments are shipped faster and more flexibly.

Bosch strengthens support for retail trade in key EU markets
In the course of the next six months Bosch eBike Systems will also be deploying a further five technical representatives to provide intensive on-site support for dealers throughout Europe. Their number will thereby increase from seven to twelve in Europe. In addition to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux and Italy, separate technical representatives will then serve France and the UK. Furthermore, the integration of another Bosch Call Center will improve service capacities for, inter alia, France, Italy and the UK.
