Bosch subsidiary Mobility Media successfully establishes Drivelog in the German market Driver and workshop portal Drivelog on the road to success with numerous cooperation partners Expansion into further European countries

The driver and workshop portal Drivelog, which was launched in September 2012, is steadily growing. More than 200 000 drivers have meanwhile registered on the free online platform. Around 8 000 workshop partners introduce themselves and their services in the portal that is operated by the Mobility Media GmbH in Berlin, a wholly-owned Bosch subsidiary.

In the meantime, several cooperation partners have joined the portal. By cooperating with Tyre24, the largest online portal for tire sales, Drivelog has entered the eCommerce business. Further cooperation exists with the German automobile club ADAC, the TÜV Rheinland Group and the wholesale trader for vehicle spare parts, Stahlgruber. Besides Bosch Car Services and the AutoCrew companies, further brand partners such as the workshop concepts Euromaster, FirstStop and 1a present themselves on drivelog.de. This further increases the platform's attractiveness for drivers.

After being successful in the German market, Drivelog now plans on expanding into other European markets. First up are Sweden and France where national Drivelog portals are about to go live.

Expansion with real time data directly from the vehicle
Mobility Media will expand the benefit for drivers and workshops by adding real time information with the new additional module “Connected Drivelog”. To do so, a small Bluetooth adapter transmits data from the vehicle's OBD interface to the Drivelog Mobile App on the smartphone, and for each driving route the driver receives information on vehicle data, route, consumption, mileage and time that is stored in a logbook. A car check function displays the vehicle's condition and error messages. If required, the driver can directly schedule an appointment with the workshop. Moreover, the program provides feedback regarding the driving style and makes suggestions for fuel-efficient driving. “Connected Drivelog will not only include new applications for our users but also complement the platform's current functionalities,” says Managing Director Florian Bankoley. Connected Drivelog will be available to registered drivers as of the beginning of 2015.

Complete vehicle documentation increases the resale value
Drivelog is the first and so far the only online platform that bundles offers around the mobility for drivers and workshops. With only one mouse-click, drivers have all important data and information around their car at hand. At www.drivelog.de the free portal offers registered drivers a cost monitor function and a digital service booklet. All expenses for fuel, care, maintenance and repairs can be easily collected via the website or the smartphone Drivelog-App that is also free of charge. The recorded information in the service booklet creates a complete vehicle documentation that increases the value if the vehicle is resold at a later point in time. Add to that, Drivelog reminds the driver of important workshop appointments or the next general inspection. The portal knows where the next workshop or the cheapest gas station is located. In the tire shop, the driver can choose the proper tires for their vehicle and at the same time schedule an appointment for a tire change in a workshop close-by.

Drivelog strengthens the workshops' internet presence
Workshops benefit from the modern marketing tools offered by Drivelog. After the free registration in the online portal, a business creates a profile with only a few mouse-clicks that includes all important information. This helps drivers to easily find this workshop on Drivelog. Moreover, the tire shop with its retail price calculator can be accessed directly. Beyond the free basic membership, Drivelog offers further attractive services within the framework of the professional and the premium memberships, which include e.g. a better ranking in the workshop search results, the publication of offers or corporate news, the targeted mailing to registered drivers or the possibility to schedule a workshop appointment online.

Cooperation partners increase the attractiveness of the online portal
Thanks to the cooperation with Tyre24, the online platform for tire sales, the workshops connected with Drivelog have the opportunity to present themselves as online tire sellers, thus generating additional revenue.

The B2B platform Tyre24, which was founded in 2002, has established itself in the German market as interface between tire wholesalers and retailers, also offering rims and tuning accessories. Drivers benefit from the broad range of tires Drivelog workshop partners are able to offer.

Thanks to the cooperation with the German automobile club ADAC, which was established in September 2013, Drivelog was able to expand its offer regarding further information on mobility. ADAC members can use Drivelog offers directly via the club's website. Drivers who have registered with Drivelog may leave their ADAC member number in the portal and are thus able to directly benefit from the special conditions offered to ADAC members.

The cooperation with the TÜV Rheinland Group, which was initiated in February 2014, gives Drivelog users access to appointments for general inspection in one of the 140 inspection centers or their partner workshops nationwide. Appointments can be directly scheduled online. Further online tools and information around the vehicle are currently planned and include a used car evaluation and a vehicle quality certificate.

The wholesaler for vehicle spare parts, Stahlgruber, uses the entire Drivelog service within the framework of the partnership with Drivelog, which was also initiated in February 2014, for the passenger car workshops of its full service workshop concepts “Meisterhaft” and “AC Auto Check”.
