Stuttgart/Reutlingen – Bosch eBike Systems performed really well in the first supplier rating of drive manufacturers by the trade magazine SAZbike and won an award for this achievement at Eurobike 2014 in Friedrichshafen. Dealers were asked to rate drive manufacturers in six categories to provide an overall picture of their satisfaction with suppliers. For Bosch eBike Systems this positive outcome is a ground for pleasure and at the same time an incentive to make continual improvements. Bosch has taken the award as an occasion for a further optimisation of service for dealers.

Expansion of capacities, strengthening of collaboration with Magura
“We are delighted that dealers are satisfied with our products and our service. At the same time we take our responsibility very seriously and want to make use of the award to announce measures on which we have already embarked to further improve our service,” said Armin Harttig, Head of Sales and Service at Bosch eBike Systems.

Jointly with service partner Magura, Bosch is doubling its service hotline capacity by the beginning of 2015 and Magura is extending its language competence to markets outside of the German-speaking D-A-CH region. Additional logistics staff will be hired to send out consignments faster and more flexibly. In the course of this, relocation to a 100% larger site in Bad Urach is planned for October 2014 in order to increase the availability of spare parts.

Over the next six months Bosch eBike Systems will also be hiring a further five technical representatives to offer dealers throughout Europe intensive local support. The number of technical representatives employed by the company in Europe will thereby increase from seven to twelve. In addition to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux and Italy, France and the UK will now also be served by technical representatives and, as a further improvement, international service capacities will be enhanced by the inclusion of Bosch call centres in France, Italy and the UK.

Bosch rated 'Good' in first supplier ranking of drive manufacturers
In the winter of the 2013/14 model year the trade magazine SAZbike carried out its first survey of dealer satisfaction with the manufacturers of eBike drives. Bosch eBike Systems came first in four out of six categories. From product quality and training to cost of maintenance and batteries, many dealers were satisfied with the European market leader for eBike drive systems. Bosch was rated second for handling of customer claims and for service and with an average grade of 2.07 won the SAZbike supplier ranking as the overall winner.
