press release

Bosch is expanding the AMW 10 multi-tool system for the garden to now include a powerful leaf blower attachment. In future the tool will therefore be a leaf blower, trimmer, hedgecutter and tree pruner in one, covering four of the main functions required for garden care with only one tool.

Power unit with click system for fast changing of attachments
The centerpiece of the AMW 10 continues to be the 1 000 watt power unit that delivers high power for every application. It has an individual adjustable handle to adapt to different tasks and arm lengths. Furthermore, it is easy to hang up and store thanks to its short length of about one meter and its integrated hook. The attachments are fitted to the tube of the power unit in only three steps: loosen the adjusting knob, insert the attachment until it clicks in, and tighten the adjusting knob. The leaf blower, trimmer, pole hedgecutter or pole pruner is then ready to use.

Powerful leaf blower with focused air flow for controlled operation
With the leaf blower attachment fitted, the AMW 10 is approximately 1.60 meters long and weighs 5.5 kilograms. With an air speed of 220 kilometers per hour, the tool clears leaves and debris reliably away from entrances, footpaths, driveways and lawns. Even wet leaves are thoroughly removed. The air flow volume is 320 cubic meters per hour. The blower housing is designed to focus the air flow in a forward direction and the air flow is narrower than those on conventional tools. This enables users to work very precisely with the leaf blower attachment and prevents leaves or stones from flying away erratically in all directions. This is also facilitated by the balanced weight distribution and the tool's proportions, which are comfortable for virtually any body size. As with the other attachments, the leaf blower attachment has a hook on the end of its tube, making it just as easy to store as the power unit when the user has finished working with it.

The AMW LB leaf blower attachment for the AMW 10 multi-tool system will be available at retail outlets from January 2015 onwards at the recommended retail price of 54.99 euros. All other system components, such as the power unit, trimmer, pole hedgecutter and pole pruner attachments, and the extension pole for the tree pruner, are already available.
