press release

Stuttgart/Reutlingen, Germany – From 20 to 23 February 2014 it is “Back on Your Bike” again at the trade fair grounds in Essen when the FAHRRAD Essen Bike Fair opens for business. Bosch eBike Systems will be there for the second time at North Rhine-Westphalia's largest bike fair for consumers. The European market leader in eBike drive systems will be providing information about its new product lines at Booth 539 in Hall 6, where Bosch eBike experts will be present with advice and assistance for visitors.

Successful trade show display last year
Following last year's successful trade show display, Bosch eBike Systems will again be represented by a booth of its own at FAHRRAD Essen. “Keen consumer interest and constructive feedback are the main reasons why we have chosen to exhibit again at this important trade fair in Germany's most populated federal state,” says Tamara Winograd, Press spokesperson for Bosch eBike Systems. “We have launched two new product lines for the coming bike season and will be there to answer visitors' questions. They can also test-ride the new models on the test track at the trade fair grounds and find out for themselves the fun and pleasure of the typical Pedelec riding experience.”

With more momentum into the new season
As a special highlight visitors to the Bosch eBike Systems booth will be able to test on an eBike Demonstrator the differences between the Active Line and the Performance Line. For day-to-day use such as shopping, excursions or longer tours, the Active Line is just perfect. For those who prefer a more sportive approach to cycling, the dynamic and powerful Performance Line, available in two versions, has to be the right choice. In addition to the model with a maximum speed of 25 km/h there is the Speed version, which actively supports speeds of up to 45 km/h and even more momentum, provided that the so-called “fast Pedelec” is insured
accordingly.

Another trend this season is that cycle dealers are likely to stock more eMountain bikes than ever before.

Put the latest Pedelecs through their paces
In addition to the eBike Demonstrator at the Bosch booth, the latest eBikes can be put through their paces on the test track. Many of the 250 or so manufacturers and dealers at FAHRRAD Essen will have eBikes with Bosch drive systems on show and ready to test-ride. So visitors can see and feel for themselves how they ride and how they handle.

Further information, videos and catalogues about the new Bosch eBike systems are available at the booth, where trained eBike staff will be delighted to answer visitors' questions.
