Stuttgart/Reutlingen, Germany – From 1 to 4 March 2014 the FietsVAK trade fair is being held at the RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam jointly with the Fiets en Wandelbeurs consumer fair for the first time. Bosch eBike Systems, the European market leader in eBike drive systems, is keen to strengthen its position in the Benelux market. Bosch eBike staff will be there, at Booth 519 in Hall 8, to answer visitors' queries and provide information about the latest pedelec product lines.

Harnessing synergies
Exhibitors will surely be delighted that the two fairs, FietsVAK and Fiets en Wandelbeurs, have decided to join forces this year. Their collaboration will enable manufacturers, dealers and consumers to find out about all cycling innovations at one event. Bosch eBike Systems harnesses these synergies too and will be represented at a booth of its own where its latest product lines, the Active Line and the Performance Line, will be on show. At the booth, visitors will be able to test on an eBike demonstrator the one-of-a-kind feel of a Bosch eBike system. Videos, product brochures and comprehensive advice will also be available. eBikes from different manufacturers can be put through their paces on Europe's largest indoor track (Saturday and Sunday only).

Increasing relevance in Benelux
Last year's more than 26,000 visitors (FietsVAK: 5,500, Fiets en Wandelbeurs: 20,600) could be exceeded significantly this time, according to the organiser's perspective. “Along with the growing numbers of trade visitors, consumer interest in bicycle issues is also on the increase. The eBike is becoming increasingly popular, especially for touring and especially in the Netherlands, which is why the Dutch market is very important for us. We will make use of the opportunity and demonstrate to both dealers and pedelec users the advantages of our wide-ranging and highly efficient drive systems,” says Claus Fleischer, Head of the Bosch eBike Systems product division.

After all, 69% of last year's FietsVAK visitors told the fair's organisers that they were primarily interested in eBikes. At the Fiets en Wandelbeurs 76% were interested in cycling, either on its own or in combination with hiking.
