press release

The new Bosch “Expert for Steel” circular saw blades excel due to their very long lifetime and clean cuts through steel. The basis for this is the unique “Lock Technology”, which ensures an exceptionally strong tip to body connection. The teeth grip deeper into the blade body thanks to their special geometry, making them more resistant to breaking out. This enables professional tradespeople such as plumbers, locksmiths or sanitary and heating fitters to work longer and more accurately with one saw blade without having to change it.

The new “Expert for Steel” circular saw blades cut through all steel materials such as profile bars, solid bars or pipes. They are available in a total of ten models which differ in blade size or number of teeth. They are suitable for hand dry cutters and miter dry cutters.

Smooth, quiet and low-vibration running of the saw blade
The “Proteqtion” coating minimizes friction keeping the saw blade cooler during sawing. It also protects the saw blade against corrosion. The saw blade’s body is made of steel in hardness class HRC 46. Laser-cut expansion slots ensure high stability, resulting in smooth, quiet and low-vibration running of the blade. A tensioning ring also increases the rigidity: the saw blade does not warp despite the heat generated during sawing.

The “Expert for Steel” circular saw blades from Bosch will be available at specialist retail outlets from September 2013 onwards. The prices are between 66.83 euros for a diameter of 160 millimeters and 237.50 euros for a diameter of 355 millimeters. All prices are recommended retail prices excluding VAT.
